Was wondering the same thing myself. Have horrible feeling that they know they can still sell at full price in this weather....(but I can't afford it )

Some one on here said the 11th.

I hope so as want a cardi and wrist warmers.

I'm pretty sure it is the 11th as the gift receipt for the scarf I bought my mum said it had to be exchanged by the 10th. Also woman in shop said it would be second week in January.
I have saved my Christmas money to get a jumper but not sure which one to get!

Hi everyone. It is normally around then. If I remember correctly, the sale brochure arrives this week. (Although that may just be a slightly crazed shopping-withdrawal hallucination ).

The gauzy scarf will be the test!

ooooooh.
I am going to get a cup of coffee and my brochure and put some big fat crosses next to my fav items.
I might check out my store on thurs and try some things on.

PhaseolusLunatus - I got my mum the gauzy scarf in rhubarb for Christmas and it is so lovely. I was very tempted to keep it for myself and get her another one! She has worn it every day as it is so soft and warm.

It is indeed lovely, dexter73, I have it in black (one in use and one stashed away for "emergencies" - hence presence on no shopping thread ) What I'd really like is one in Arctic to go with wristwarmers of same. If anything will break me, it will be this

I have just looked at their site. You are all lunatics...

I want get this jumper in French Navy. I always save my Christmas money to get a jumper in the sale. I have been living in my cashmere jumpers recently as they keep me so warm.

I like this one - I am long in the body so less chance of a flash of chilly flesh

pagwatch · 05/01/2010 15:57

oh Bof. Come over here and snuggle against my thermal top in arctic. It is sooo cosy. You will see..

I had to particularly snigger at the forty quid scarves for little girls- what's the betting they come home from nursery with one from primark instead?

The kiddy stuff is ridiculous EXCEPT for these which are bloody fantastic.

DD has two and wears them all the time. They are so light but warm and they wash every time like brand new.

But cashmere cardigans for a baby? I was 45 before I trusted me with cashmere.

I notice you turned down the chance to snuggle me BoF
Cashmere covered ? Really? No?

Fair enough

Oh no, I was straight in there- you didn't need to ask

Report
BitOfFun · 05/01/2010 16:18

Pag- you are tempting me (with the kid's clothes )- do you reckon they'll be in the sale then? Or are they a staple? £22 for a gorgeous cosy jumper like that which isn't too bulky, I would stretch to actually, but I don't want to kick myself in a week's time if it's eleven quid...

Damn you MN and your tasty links to things I never knew I needed, grrr

Bof
I know the lady in my local branch - I'll ask.
I think they may go down as they change the style and colours a little bit each season.

Have you noticed the grown up thermals are just as nice and are about £39.00....

mwwwhahahaha. We have sucked BoF in to the world of gratuitously expensive but admittedly snuggly clothes....

I have found another use for cashmere - useful for wiping the tears running down my face after reading your thread about your dog poo problem this morning! Bet your dog thought it was really funny!

Report
pagwatch · 05/01/2010 18:22

that is easy for you to say.

Dog keeps looking at me funny. I think i am officially his bitch. i bet he never even calls me now.
Actually I have just opened a parcel left on my porch while we were at vets.

4 rolls of doggy bags
Seriously.
What perfect timing.

Me too - and warning that stock levels running low so might like to buy before then. Unfortunately cash levels also running low...

I love that they try and frighten you into buying before the sale! Who would order now when the sale is next week?

Report
frazzledoldbag · 10/01/2010 21:42

I'd like that long line cashmere v-neck jumper too phaseolus- but in the blue that is sold out now in a size 12. I'm not sure now whether to order it in a 10 or a 14 - never ordered from Brora before so not sure if they are big or small made. And whether it might shrink a bit when I wash it (hope not!) Anyone know what the Brora jumper sizing is like? And just checked online - no sale yet.
