SAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEE!! Somebody save me! Can you dye your hair with henna when you're preg?

My hair looks atrocious. I look like a bleedin' womble. I need a good cut and a bit of colour.

Can I use henna safely in pregnancy? And, more importantly, will it hide the grey?

(Prize goes to the first poster who can reference the musical quote in my thread title - I want song title and singer )

Yeah, course you can. I use the Lush stuff. It doesn't completely cover the grey, but it does blend it in a bit.

I'm probably too old to get the song reference...

Why henna? Why not just go to a salon and get your hair done? I did this all through pregnancy (and I'm very grey). Henna will change the colour of the grey but it won't be the same colour as the rest of your hair!

Sorry, no idea with the song title but can recommend Lush henna.

My hair is dark brown with a few greys and I use the Caca brun which gives a lovely glossy shine and a very slightly darker tone, seems to cover greys ok.

Oh, great, thanks all! My hairdresser does henna dyeing so I'll ask her to do it next time I'm in. Hurrah! Goodbye Womble, hello FoxyGonzalez!

Song reference: the mighty Aretha Franklin funkin' her stuff in 'Save Me'. Ahh, she's a fabulous woman...
