I read that further reductions and more items were being added to the Boden sale today.
Does anybody know?

Does anyone know what the boys sizes are like? I want to buy ds a coat for next winter when he'll be 18 months, would 1 1/2 -2 be Ok? I think their boys sizes run bigger than the baby ones, is that right?

yes it should be fine. ds is in a size 4 and he is 5 in april. he is average height but quite slim.

I've also ordered urban mac in black which is in stock in most sizes along with the carnaby trench in purple.

Thanks for this

I ordered

  • khaki cotton crops (had them in white last year and wore them every other day - perfect summer trousers);
  • classic cords in slate,
  • silk cotton scoop neck top in mallard
  • check shirt in blush
  • hotchpotch shirt in damson.

I am a bit about the hotchpotch shirt.....the "hotchpotch" colourways have always made me laugh at Boden but I thought that shirt looked okay.....we shall see!

I am tempted by the green biker jacket. Could a kind owner of one tell me if its too bright IRL?

Not sure about the biker jacket in green BUT I do own one in brown and it is fab. I have worn it loads and is definitely worth the dosh

My mum ordered the British Tweed coat. anyone already got it? Tbh, I looked and looked, theres nothing on there that I think is an absolute bargain and the stuff I did want I bought the first time it was reduced

It would have been rude not to especially since I couldn't be bothered with the first set of reductions - decided to buy the duffle coat for DD together with boots, dress & top. Also some trainers for DS and finally, a jacket for myself.

Just ordered the duffle too but Im not sure it looks that thick really. The trainers for us are good value, I live in mine.

Sydney - the biker jacket is warm enough for autumn and spring - I was wearing mine from September through to end of November.

It is nice and long so no "draughts" (ahem) I love this because I am long in the body and get so fed up with casual jackets which don't quite meet the top of my jeans and therefore leave me cold around my kidneys

Too thin for this bitter, proper winter weather though.

It is lined, yes.

I got 4 more of the layered twist knot top at £8.50.

tis only vanity stopping people buying them as you have to size up to make sure the line goes under your norks as they are poorly designed.

They are fabulous as layers under a thick cardie.

oh and Sydney - I sized up in the jacket too to make sure I could fit a jumper beneath However, it doesn't feel too big - even with a lighter layer underneath. IME, Boden coats are a very "exact" fit.

Laurie - I looked at the layered twist knot top too. But I think they only had 16s left? Am an 8-10 top wise.

Can we still get free delivery during the sale?

Report
tulpe · 05/01/2010 17:15

I had to pay.....but perhaps i have missed a trick

I've just done a bit of a search and think you have to pay for delivery on sale items. I hope I like what I've ordered - had some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket so have treated myself (and added bonus if they fit well is not having to trek out to the shops at sale time!)

You always have to pay for delivery during sale time. I want a couple of thin jumpers to layer but I cant see anything like that. I wonder why the jeans never came down again?
