Tall birds - where do you get your jeans?

I am about size 14, need 36 inch leg.

I have in my wardrobe jeans from Fat Face, Ralph Lauren, Top Shop, Long Tall Sally, none of which I like.

I want slightly bootcut, fitted around the arse, sit on the hips. I had a lovely pair from Gap which I wore literally until the leg fell off. All Gap jeans now seem too short.

Any ideas? I don't really want to pay over about £70.

Dorothy Perkins do a tall range. There is an online store called 'Tall Girls'. LTS are pricey, but they often have sales. I am 36" leg too- tis a pain.
I got some jeans from George at Asda that are long enough, although I think they are a random anomaly as it has never happened before.

Have you looked at Next online ? They have a tall section, and it's pretty good imo

I still get mine from gap but only have 34 inch legs.

LTS have got more trnedy recently, maybe you could try them again?

I'm similar, and I like Boden long length jeans. Zara trousers always have very long legs, though it's hard to get their 14 to fit me I find.

I like Gap jeans, and depending on the style, sometimes they have a deep hem which I take down and then line with another fabric - works really well. If you're not crafty a friend might be able to do that for you?

I got a gorgeous pair from Reiss. Fitted around are, slightly flared at the bottom. Everyone comments on how flattering they are. I think they were about £70. I am 5'11'' and jeans are usually a nightmare for me.

New Look do some very long jeans in their tall range. It's not stocked in all stores, but you can buy online.

Zara are always really long - really nice denim too.

Gap long and lean jeans come in a 36" leg which do for me. They also do longer leg skinny jeans. I had some Top Shop jeans but like you I didn't like them after a while.

They must have stretched recently riven! When I used to try them they were way too short - even the extra long ones. But I haven't been in M&S for years.

Hi, look on littlewoods - slim fit "South" range are really nice, and long legs are on there, also New Look tall range I swear by, (I have an ebay email alert for anything "NewLook Tall!")

Top Shop tall jeans are alright but go baggy quite quick, but DP are awful, LTS are equally old-lady ish.

Next Long / Tall things are fitted for those tall ladies (IMO) who have in proportion, with curved and rounded thighs and bum - I have very long slim legs but a heeuuuggee tum, so they lok awful on me.

I'm 5'10 and most of my jeans come from Next. The Extra Long length is fine for me,and there is also a Tall section with really long legas. The range is generally good and the pait that I have on at the moment are great - plus they only cost £10 from the York Designer Outlet store! They're bootcut but otherwise very fitted and best of all the waist is fairly high which holds everything in. Sometimes Next jeans can be a bit tacky, but there's usually enough decent styles to find something to suit.

Zara used to be best but I've noticed quite a few short looking jeans and trousers in there lately so wondering if they've shortened their leg lengths.

I didn't think Gap did 36" leg except in the US. I thought they only went as long as 34" leg here.

Gap WAS good, as you say.

Zara used to work, but have not bought any there for years.

Massimo Dutti is sometimes o.k. (but only about 34")

I, 6ft1, leg length of 34-36, buy my jeans at Next (browse around onlien for the TALL section, they have Long, Extra Long and Tall). They are not top jeans, but do the job ( around $20 ).

Long Tall Sally hit and miss, their black jeans are o.k., good flattering cut.

Top Shop can be o.k. (bit young for me now )

Am keeping eyes peeled for other suggestions..

are they??? didn't know Dutch women were Amazonian. Get a DFDS day trip, goes from Hull and Newcastle.

In that case maybe also worth going on www.ebay.nl to see their jeans on offer then!

36" Gap jeans aren't commonly available but you can get them.

Wow, aren't we a tall bunch. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I haven't heard of Tall Girls, will have a look.

Boden and M&S are too short.

Next - I will have another look but they have always looked a bit fussy to me.

Have never tried Reiss, Zara or New Look, I will defo look there.

Hey try being tall and pregnant (assuming that as I'm on mumsnet that would be the norm ) and finding slim fit long jeans! I ebayed for months and found some in the last few weeks!!

I have a 36" inside leg too and always get my jeans at New Look. I tend to go when there's a sale on and get 2 or 3 pairs for about £10 each!!

Mostly get mine from Next, but have an old pair from River Island that are long. Not sure if they still do tall though, not been in for a while as I find clothes shopping an horrific ordeal so avoid as much as possible.
