can anyone suggest some nice flat knee length boots that I can wear with legging that won't look like I'm wearing wellies....
don't want to spend too much so duo is out, have tried next and they're too big.. I'd like to try them on so highstreet stores would be best...
Ican't be the only person that has this problem ... thanks

I love Duo too. Mine aren't super-slim, but I still find most high street boots are waaaaay too wide on them, especially because they assume that my size 8 feet must have mahoosive man-calves to match.

Duo = not the cheapest, but they last for ages and FIT.

You can take just about any boots to the cobbler and get them restitched to fit if they're too big.
Make sure that the boots are narrow enough in the ankle that they won't look weird slim on the calf. Duo assistants are good at recommending what will and won't work well.

hmm - you could look for vintage boots on ebay - most pre 1990 boots are slim fit, and italian bootmakers tend to go for the slim leg shape also...

if you're in doubt, measure the widest point of your calf, and ask the vendor to measure the boot.

google shofolk - beautifully made. I have skinny legs and their boots look great on me. I have had so many compliments on them as their designs are elegant but really cool.

Toast cavalry boots cost a bloody fortune but are quite lovely and not baggy
