I'm not buying it, not even thinking of buying it, but I really rather like it - do you?

I think the cat print is a bit !

My first impression was, yes, I rather like it, then I stopped and thought about it and actually it's a bit shapeless. And the cat print, well it's a bit OTT...

shapeless and twee, sorry.

really? I like the cat print. I have a cat print silk top - from Plumo a year a so ago - it's black cats on a greenish/grey background - it's very chic

eshermummy - buy it so that I can live vicariously through you. And yes, I am not a size 8 - not even when not 10-weeks post natal! - so can't help on the shorts front, sadly

i'm partial to the odd novelty print myself, just not a fan of that one.

I like it but not so keen on the colour

I am surprised people think it's "twee" - you can't even see it's cats at first till you look closely - at first glance I thought it was one of those classic chain prints on silk scarves in the style of hermes. I think it is witty rather than twee.

The only thing that puts me off with T'Outnet is the delivery charge - I am forever buying things only to send straight back because they don't fit properly and I don't know whether I'd be a 36 or a 38. I am on first name terms with the DHL drivers in my area
Plus it's dry clean only.

Most definitely twee rather than witty. Cats?

And it's totally shapeless to boot - like a big cat covered sack.

So that would be a no, to clarify.

on the scale of a small picture it's not immediately obvious but i think it would be irl.

out of interest, what's the objection to cats?

i don't like 'em in RL but what's the prob on a print?

agree esher - i didn't know they were cats until i read the description

LTEC Have you not read the thread about the teddy bear dress?

I don't know it's just a bit naff and I would expect cat-printed clothing to be worn only by strange self-proclaimed 'wacky' types.

Report
dexter73 · 02/12/2009 17:25

This is what is wrong with cat print! I know it's not quite the same but it is on the slippery slope towards it!

Report
Themasterandmargaritas · 02/12/2009 17:25

I've got nothing against catprint if you are a cat lover, or perhaps Fabio.

The whole thing is just a little lacking.

Report
LetThemEatCake · 02/12/2009 17:27

haven't seen the teddy bear thread but it definitely sounds suspect

hmm. am by no means kooky, neither self-proclaimed nor in secret. I wear (wore) my cat print top with Topshop Baxters and very high Louboutins. Am tempted to post a pic to see whether you like my top or whether I should charity shop it forthwith

ROFL dexter; for some reason I imagine Canadians to go around wearing those things!

LTEC I do so like green eggs and ham that dress. I think it's lovely and in a nice fabric and it's made me smile (for the right reasons). Nice with jeans I'd say.

Now if you were to accessorise with orla kiely/ kidston... arf

It looks like one of those pictures where you squint and you can see a 3D image.

Was I supposed to see one? - I couldn't tell.
