Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

The Office brown biker boots turned up and they fit, but I have fallen in love with a grey pair and can't justify both.

Would any MNer like them before I put them on eBay? They're size 7, worn twice, incredibly comfortable, just not quite what I want now...

I've ordered the Office ones in brown, despite imminent financial ruin. Almost hope they don't fit!

bargain! very nice.
Ooh they are really nice.
Thanks for the idea of looking on Amazon - I've just taken the plunge and ordered these - £30 in the sale, bargain! Hope they fit...

i'm in love with these and may just have to put them on the credit card in brown...lovely mmmm
Thank you both - the Gap ones might work, will explore - but somehow the heel on the Next one looks too flat, a bit of height would be nice.

Doesn't have to be biker style - any other below-knee flattish black ones spotted out there? Ideally without too much ruching or other flimflam (not too wide at the leg either).... I don't want much do i hmm

some in next
Have just returned these ones - close but no cigar. I sort of liked them but didn't love them, and the state of my wardrobe at the moment is such that I want these boots to work spirit-lifting miracles grin.
I'd like them black, a bit taller (still below the knee though), a bit more bikerish, generally a bit more fabulous. And under £100. Haven't seen any that grab me so far - can anyone suggest any for me to look at? Much much appreciated.

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
