I need long sleeved t-shirts in good strong colours that are also long in the body

I have quite a few short sleeved jumpers and tunics in dreary subtle colours and I fancy a few jewel-bright t-shirts to go underneath. I have a couple of good ones from Uniqlo and some boring black ones from M&S but they are all quite short and stop at the waist and I would like a few that are hip length. Any recommendations? The sizes have to go up to 18.

Bump for you.

M&S Limited Collection have blue, purple and green ones at the mo (so perfect colours for you) but they will almost certainly be too short.

Avoid Gap, as the quality of theirs is dreadful nowadays.

I can't vouch for sizes but there have been several threads extolling the virtues of H&M for longer tops. I have been in, and they have teal, purple, black, bown, grey. V-neck and round neck. Cheap - about £8

I have some Uniqlo ones oranges. They are fab colours, but not hip length.

Wow - v similar to my post yesterday. tghe answers appeared to be Boden and M&S. I have ordered many, with a view to sending some back.

I do have a coupel of Boden ones. Long body (24", which is about 3" longer than anyone else), and have washed and worn very well - I have had them about 9 months now.

Sorry BikeRunSki - I had a quick look through style but didn't see your thread. I have a £10 off offer from Ocado for Boden so I might take a look. Generally I feel that Boden isn't for apple shapes like me, but that probably doesn't matter too much for a t-shirt that will be worn under something else.

I should have guessed that H&M would be the answer, the shop that has no presence at all in East London and no online shop. Do they not want to sell to me or something?

Peacocks have some long, skinny, long-sleeved t-shirts here. Black and white ones too. Bargain at £6.

Thanks everyone. The teal Peacocks shirt look good. I had a look at Boden BikeRunSki, but I didn't think they were very bright, which is odd given how garish Boden is generally. I've seen some on Lands End (it'll be my first ever purchase from Lands End and I can't help feeling that it's a tipping point into middle age) and some lovely, but expensive, tops on Gudrun Sjoden that I might splash out on.

I don't know if this has been said on the other thread but the M&S basic long sleeved tshirts are now made longer in the body.

I don't think they do bright colours though.
