Tattoo question- Please help!

Basically I went to a tattoo parlour today in an attempt to finally fill in the dodgy looking botched tattoo I had done 3 years ago. The guy filled in the two little stars at the bottom but when he got to the big star at the top (which looks naff) he realised it was actually scarred and was unable to colour over it! I'm gutted cos now I'm stuck with this forever and had been looking forward 2 having 3 pretty stars on my hip! Would a permanent marker be feasible to use almost like makeup over the botched star??
Also I really really want another tattoo possibly just above my knicker line but worried it may make the orginal naff tattoo look even worse! Advice and thoughts please girlies!

no a permenant marker wont work. if you just want a temporary cover up for special nights why not invest in an airbursh tattoo machine.
or some henna.

that way you can colour in the parts that are missing and they should last a couple of days.

Also you can get a temp tattoo of the permenant one you want and see how you feel about it after a few days.

just make sure that this time you go to a reputable tat artist

Is it not possible to just have the botched one removed?

Was the guy a normal tattooist or specifically a skilled cover-up artist? There are some tattooists who specialise in this sort of thing. If it was me I wouldn't give up hope just yet - I would do some research and find someone really good - and specifically good at cover-up work - to get a second opinion from.
How did you find this guy?

He was just a normal tattooist, a few of my friends had theres done there- he told me cos it was scar tissue it would make it worse to go over it. I might see about finding a specialist cover up artist- would do anything to have a lovely piece of art that I can be proud of! cos I love star tattoos, have already been planning more lol I'd like three in total. Am thinking might get a little one on the top of my ear but a bit wussey about the pain!

was going to6 add that you should maybe ask at another parlour as it is possible to tat over scared skin.
its more difficult but not impossible.

there are some places that offer semi perm tats. they are like the henna ones but they last 5-10 years.
they are quite rare though so may need to do a fare bit of travelling.

can you tell i like my tattoos?

Lol mamazon I love tattoos too I'd love to have one on the back of my neck but its a bit short and thick! lol. How many do u have?
I think Im gonna have to do some googling to ffind a parlour that will be willing to tattoo over my scar. Do you think it will be mmore painful? (u would never think I had endured childbirth lol)
