Those of with a stubborn 'mum tum' - what do you wear?

Had my second child 9 mths ago. I think I'm going to have to accept that I have a bit of a belly. It didnt disappear magically after the birth of my first child and it's going nowhere fast now. Only hardcore daily pilates is going to shift it, and I cant be arsed with that, sooo....

...moving forward, into a life where I embrace my 'womanly' shape and stop fighting against it...what should I be wearing?

I am very tall, have good legs, about a size 14 (12 on a good day), big norks, generally well proportioned but deffo have a belly. Shapewear is OK for special occasions, but I find it uncomfy for daily wear, plus it just kind of rounds out my rolls and makes me look pregnnat...

I would go for empire line style tops i think, teamed with fitted trousers or even shorter length skirts and flat boots to show off your good legs (the flat boots stop look form being tarty!). I think that white co has plenty of flared looking tops at mo that skim the tum.

I have same problem. I find I wear a lot of large beltsround my middle as they hide a lot.

But then my fashion sense is zero so I don't even know if thats right

Tunic tops/short dress style like this which skim figure. You could wear it with leggings (as you have good long legs! wear with boots

I'm not sure hardcore pilates is the only way to shift the belly. Try walking about 45 mins daily if you can, even on a treadmill.
Clothes -- avoid pants that have too low a waist and fit too tightly at the waist and create the muffin top look. Something that hits between the belly button and the hip bones should stay up even if you have to use a belt. A nice menswear style but fitted shirt creates a vertical line with the buttons. I find that clingy t-shirt fabric just sits on the bulge, but woven shirts lie smoothly over it. Empire waist woven blouses that are tunic length are fab. Balancing the middle section with something like an attractive summer scarf at the neck, or some big chunky necklace draws attention to your face. And good posture goes a long way. Keep your shoulders up and back a bit.
