Are these nice or have I lost my mind?

See, I was searching ebay for knitted boots for my baby, and came across these which as you can see are for adults. Google research revealed them to be, as you can see, Ugg boots and therefore fashionable but v expensive (I would obv buy the ebay rip-offs... in grey)

Now, to me they look quite funky, warm, comfy, like that they are not black but would go with anything - skirts/dresses and trousers. Are they really, or have I lost it in the depths of newborn sleep deprivation, or about to buy granny boots? (wouldn't normally ask but really can't make my mind up...)

Actually, have just seen the care advice (avoid contact with liquids), they'd be hopelessly impractical for winter wouldn't they?

Ah, yes, the Ugg cardi boot. Very fashionable with spoilt north London teenagers at the moment

I know they are fashionable, but NO.... don't do it...

(sits back and waits to be shouted at by all ugg cardi wearers.... )

Oh yes Mrs M, they're EVERYWHERE round here at the mo.

Also popular with school run mummies who only need to worry about contact with liquid on the short hop and skip from the 4x4 to the school gate.

Good old Ridley Rd market! I miss it!@Umlellala.

There used to be a stall down there that sold great rip off shoes. I got my son's Crocs there

lol

I saw a yummy mummy wearing these the other day in the pissing rain. Her look of distaste and panic as she tried to keep her cardy uggs out of the muddy puddles was a picture .

I rather like em actually as they go with the rest of my look ie. laid back, dressed down, funky battered jeans etc but just too impractical for me and not enough completely dry days to justify the expense

get some biker boots instead

Yes, I think you are right. Come on then, help me find some cool practical boots (had Caterpillar mardy ones in tan which I loved but they were too small after pregnancy).

Need to be under £50 though...

Top tip, wear leg warmers over normal boots. Or at a push just wear socks over normal boots.

(Is now the time to admit I do wear legwarmers... albeit over shoes not boots...)
