Off to a evening wedding do in a couple of weeks - need to look good as groom's sister is an ex-flame of dp's.(Am I shallow?) Would love to look trendy/cool/stunning ha ha ha

Am 5"1 size 12 with short browny/red hair. Good boobs (34c), huuuuuge thighs and arms that are a little chunky but ok. Quite tanned as just come back from hols.

Usually shop in new look/next/dp's.

Dont really have a budget in mind but definately under £100. Something I could wear again would be great.

Thought about dark jeans sparkly top also just seen this

Many thanks!!!!

The sequin stripe dress in the same "going out dresses" section on the new look website is nicer imo geordieminx. Dress Ledodgy linked is very nice too.

Personally wouldn't wear jeans to an evening reception unless it was a very informal affair.

Just saw your second post, ignore what I just said then

Like the warehouse dress Ledodgy - could get some red shoes to go with it.

You are probably right about the jeans - was thinking skinny dressy type ones but even so - its a wedding party - its an excuse to get dressed up - dp and I have only had 2 overnighters since ds was born a year ago. He would definately prefer me in a dress....

I will look better than the sister of the groom... especially since she is 15 years older than me {{{{{{evil cackle}}}}}}}}}

How about this, either in the yellow (very this season) or tbh, either of the other colours.

When does the auction end? If it's not until a day or so you could go shopping tommorrow and try it on.

I have an oasis dress and it's a 12 - it's very generous (I'm going to sell it as it's too big) If you are usually a 10/12, I'd buy a 10.

This is lovely, but a bit ££. Also, would you need to wear a bra? Would have to be strapless with that one.

this is pretty but even if you don't like it (could wear a bolero with it, if arms are an issue) the website is good for shape advice from trinny and susannah.

I say get the next one you don't pay for it upfront anyway so if you don't like it you can take it back. It really is flattering I prefer it without the belt it just has a nice black about 5 cm wide smooth band underneath the belt bit so doesn't look like it's missing anything.

Jackie - I love the yellow one - even though I havent worn lemon since I was about 5 - am I a yelllow person? Would it be ok with hair/skin tone?

What shoes with yellow?

Some of the additions dresses are lovely too - never thought of there.

Also flattering for the arms too although it's sleeveless it sort of goes out a bit iyswim so slims them down.

I think additions and littlewoods are pretty much the same site. V good prices.

The yellow one looks as though it might have gold ribbons round the waist - in which case gold would be the obvious choice. If they're yellow ribbons, I'm not sure - nude, or something grey/pewter colour? Not yellow, at any rate.
