Help me find a bag that has handles and can carry LOADS of A4 paper and files...

I'm a tutor and work from home so have to carry loads of paperwork around which weighs a ton!

I've been using a Kangol bag with a long shoulder strap but I've got an aching shoulder now all the time.

Don't want one of those trolley things, feel like i'm going on my holidays with one of those, just want a big, wide bag with handles - help!

Do you want sturdy, or stylish? I have a canvas bag, which is the LL Bean boat tote (an american company) which is very roomy with long handles and indestructible. I use it every day to carry all my papers in. Still not brilliant for shoulders, but will carry lots of things. I keep saying I should get a smaller bag because I would then be forced to carry less stuff, but I just don't think it would happen!

sturdy and small handles more important than stylish - if I can get a girly one so much the better!

Am gonna look at LL Bean

if in addition to handbag (rather than incorporating it iyswim) I would have suggested a canvas tote too - this kind of thing. Last for ever and if you can take the pink that one's a bargain.
LLBean ones here

I use a canvas tote bag too, sort of thing supposed to be for the beach. I got them free with magazines during the summer. One is skinny so only takes one folder but the other is a big rectangle and takes loads. Would still make shoulder ache though.

What about a trolley briefcase thing not a suitcase (OK that is a pricey one but best pic). Or a granny trolley bag. This one is a bit funky

Please NO. Those trolley things are vile, even for seventy-somethings!
Maybe use a handbag so you can swap hands to avoid pain.
Like this or this or this
and this is functional, if not a bit boring.

d'ya know what i use (obv not, silly question)
well i carry tons of paperwork around, often a laminator and some textbooks and an enormous diary.
I am such a cheapskate [i prefer to call it economical] it all goes in the big Tesco 'green-shopper' bag, which cost the princely sum of £2. It has survived apalling treatment for around a year and is still going strong!!

My Tescos ladybird bag is fab for college (I didn't dare suggest it as it is so unstylish)

But they have really taken over from plastic bags in my house - I must have about 15 & use them for stroing nappies/toys/sewing&craft projects, DD uses them to go on stayovers - they are just great

unstylish? how rude!!

trend-setters, us, mate

mine is so ancient that it was when they first came out and 'tesco' logo is so small you can hardly read it. yes honestly it was a pound.
am if they are £3.50 now.
