Nice haircut for DS?

DS is 16 months and has sadly inherited my wiry frizzy hair that you can't do a thing with! I'm taking him to get it cut tomorrow and not sure what to ask them to do. At the minute its got quite long (over his ears) and I quite like it because it has started to curl, although (as DP has pointed out) it does look a mess! It curls in some places but just sticks up in frizzy peaks in other places! Last time he had it cut he had it really short but it made him look as though he was about to go out mugging old ladies!

Any ideas what we can do with it and how to describe to hairdresser? Maybe I need to find a nice picture somewhere?

Ha ha - am just having the same problem - DS had chinese hair as DH says but at the moment it is so long he has to hold it out of his eyes and it looks as though he is wearing a wig there is so much of it- half of me wants a haircut for him like Liz Hurley's little boy - and half of me thinks I have no chance of the lady cutting it so nicely when he won't sit still for a minute!

I really have an issue with grown up short haircuts for little kids - I want him to look like a little boy until he complains and wants gel!

No words of advice really - just sharing your dilemma!

Good Luck!

I know what you mean - DS's looks a bit wig-like too! I have this image of little boys with beautiful blonde curls, which is never going to happen with DS as his hair doesn't curl properly, just sticks out in odd places and isn't actually blonde! Like you, I don't want an older boys style though.
