New perfume........what are people loving at the moment?

I want to treat myself to a new perfume. I've made so many very costly perfume mistakes. The type of perfume I like is what I can only describe as a "powdery" sort of smell, sort of just out of the bath, talc and soap sort of smell. Just can't seem to find the one.

Any suggestions.........................

Currently have Jo Malone's mixed miniatures - you can make your own combo up, I love Pomegranate Noir with a little bit of Amber and lavender, or grapefruit.

I have D&G blue and Christine Aguelira. haven't worn the CA stuff yet though.

Noa is a lovely light talcy perfume, not too perfumy.

I have Ghost & Victoria Beckhams day perfume (don't like her) her perfume is gorgeous though got it for xmas from my sis.

I love Dolce & Gabbana, the origional one with the red lid. Carolina Herrera 212 sexy, naff name, gorgeous scent. dolce & gabbana feminine also lovely

Echo for women is nice.

Christina Aguillera one is quite nice too, more of a night time one though.

I used to wear a huge range of perfumes until I got pregnant with DD1. Since then my sense of smell has altered hugely. Even smelling perfume on others was just awful. I can't bear my wedding perfume (Clinique Happy). DH bought me CK Eternity a couple of years ago and I actually quite like it. My sense of smell is becoming slowly more acceptable to fragrances again but not fully. I have two fragrances at the moment, not expensive ones, but enough to get me back into it all again. I have Next Mi Amor and Body Shop White Musk (also got the shimmer mist through the post today which I am very excited about).

and dd bought me victoria beckham - intimate which is nice, the women in boots perswaded dd to buy the bigger one as it was better value for money £35.00

I used to wear a perfume in the 90s, not expensive, Vanilla Fields by Coty, got loads of comments about it. Then it disappeared from the shops, I finally managed to get hold of some about 2 years ago from USA but when it arrived it just didn't smell the same.....not sure whether after having 2 sprogs my smell had gone funny...but it smelt like cat's piss

I wear Chatal Thomas, which is by a French lingerie designer and smells of raspberries. I prefer the sweet or fruity smelling ones to flowery or musky.

The new Prada somethingorother Iris is lovely, quite light but not sweet. It comes in a satisfyingly huge bottle too.

I got Agent Provocateur for Christmas and it is just lovely. A grown up scent that can be worn every day. Fabbo.
