Is there a website to help you choose a haircut?

I've decided to take the plunge and chop my long hair off as it's really doing my head in at the mo; it's too high maintenance and looks rubbish.

Thing is I'm a bit scared - I've been growing it for 4 years and I'm not sure what to do with it! Any suggestions re where to find out what sort of hairstyle suits you? Whenever I ask hairdressers they're really noncomittal and just ask me what I want which doesn't help!

chuck your details in here and see if you can find something.

How short do you want to go?

Ah, now that's pretty much what I was after, cheers!

As for length, hmmm....see, I dunno. I used to have jaw length hair but my face has, shall we say, filled out a bit since then! I sort of feel teh need to do something a bit drastic but am a bit worried it might be hormones and it could make me cry for months. As Jim Morrison once said "some of my worst mistakes have been haircuts." Or sommat.

Ooh, ooh, I was reading in the hairdressers today about a site where you put a photo of yourself in and then select hair styles and colours.

Can't remember what it's called though.

Why won't hairdressers ever suggest anything? Is it in case you sue 'em afterwards? Apart from Toni and Guy where they seem to do whatever they like whether you like/want it or not!

eeek, that's not very encouraging! Are you tryign to grow it back exactly as it was? Have you never woken up once and thought "actually, that looks alright today"?
