Where can I get my colours 'done' and is it expensive?

I'm thinking mainly for make-up. I have darkish strawberry blonde hair (although more of the strawberry than the blonde since I got it cut short), very pale skin & green-blue eyes.

I was a metal-head 'til I grew up (not so long ago) & always wore lots of scarlet lipstick & heavy black eye make-up. Now that I'm heading for mid-thirties I think it's time I tried to accentuate what I've got but every time I buy something it never seems to suit me.

Help!

for make up its bes to go to areally good make up brand and let them loose on you but say you want it natural, low maintenance (I assume you do!). Libertys has a great stand for this.

have you tried boots?
If you hold a gold piece of fabric next to you then a silver (in good light) you'll know if to go for warm or dark shades?

I'd go round the different counters until you feel they have the right look for you. Then you can always go to a cheaper store and copy the look?

Bobbi Brown is very natural and I have found them very not pushy - they will write down what they use and then you can buy what you need when you can.

Bobbi Brown really saves me ££ int he long run - I don't buy make-up on a whim any more, but stick to what they tell me and it always looks nice and natural. Make sure you get them to sit you down and apply the lot though. And don't be afraid of saying what you like - eg my sis doesn't like eyeliner and they often put a natural line on the upper lid, so they didn't do that on her and she came away looking like herself (pretty).
