I like it but have to be carefully worn - you ned to have the funk to go with it otherwise it will look like you are trying to be cool IYSWIM.

I really like it. Would stop someone in the street - in fact, ahve done to ask where they got their hair done!

I also like giving my opinion in changing rooms (when not asked!)

BishyBarneyBee · 06/06/2007 12:56

MamaG I bet they love you in the changing rooms - do you go and hang out there all day giving your opinions? are you honest?

Report
McDreamy · 06/06/2007 12:57

Really like it! I like to give my opinion in dressing rooms too especially when clothes look fab on the other person!

Report
MamaG · 06/06/2007 12:58

bishy - If somebody asks me, i'll give an honest opinion.

If they don't ask me but look good I'll say.

I'd never say "it looks shit" unless they asked what i thought

No, don't hang around all day, that would be rather odd!

I am too much of a chicken to stop people in street

NB do not buy dress if you are at all pear shaped - tis one for the F&Zs of this world.

yes it's a no from me olive but well done asking her, there's not enough of it about. i praised woman in canteen yesterday for her choice of comfy clarks shoes - we'd both tried to find another pair in the sale. that's a top tip actually, if you like something buy another one straight away

Report
BishyBarneyBee · 06/06/2007 13:00

agree MrsBadger re pear shaped but couldn't find a nice way to say it.

I always ask people

it's a win win

I get to find out about said item, and they swish around all day feeling fab

if string bean then go for it

[adds olive to MN Lanky List]

I take it you have leggings already

Report
BishyBarneyBee · 06/06/2007 13:07

if string bean it will look fab. make sure legs are good too - tanned etc or even better would be good with footless tights and pumps.

No leggings

have never got round to it

hated them at first, then came round to the idea, then realised EVERYONE had them, then the weather improved

agree re: swishing. about once a week I also offer help to tourists with map upsidedown close to covent garden. they positively glow when I offer them failsafe directions

would look nice on a teenager with a boyish figure ...

but it is a tunic dress, on anyone with a figure (ie curves) it will make you look like Hyacinth Bouquet
