Higher waisted bikini bottoms on the highstreet? Anyone?

I may actually get a chance to go shopping today...and I need to spend my time productivly not wandering around every single shop searching in vain.

So...is anywhere selling high waisted bikini bottoms? Of the 'hide the wobbly, stripey areas' variety, not the 'high waist but also high leg, admire my svelte hips' variety.

in primark I got a combination of the high waist high leg bottoms and a kind of frilly skirty thing that goes over the top of it.

Voila!

Debenhams do a range of mix and match bikini tops and bottoms I think. So you can pick what suits you best.

Quick look on the website show they do 'boy short' style bottoms which might suit.

Or how about a tankini?

Tankinis never actually cover tummy or hips, they are always too short and sit around waist, leaving the worst area exposed, and even 'framed' between tankini top and bottoms

really? M&S? I had quick squiz on way back from meeting yesterday but couldn't find any...mind you maybe I was in Per Una land rather than traditional M&S range?

for what's it's worth I would be very wary of going for large high waisted broad fitting pant style bikini bottoms. In my very very humble opinion (although I have heard this backed up by many a style guru!) big bikini bottoms simply make bums look bigger. Could you try a smaller cut but obviously still in your size. I bet you would be amazed. Go on - I dare you!

It's not so much a big arse that I am trying to hide (although...) it is more a wobbly lower tummy and stretchmarks across hips.

May resort to swimming in jeans and a t-shirt at the rate I'm going!!
