Huge BF norks, size 6 body causing major wedding outfit conundrum..help!

In case anyone thinks I'm boasting, I'm not. I am 5'2" with massive boobage and a small everywhere else, and in all the dresses I tried on yesterday I looked like Pamala Anderson's tartier, less attractive sister. The small bits are small but not as toned as they once were, which doesn't help.

The wedding is in June, in Wales, and I want something reasonably stylish that can be worn with low-ish heels (still wobbly on my feet after nerve damage with DS birth) and that does not

a) display porn star wannabe norks
b) make expressing mid-day completely impossible without stripping to the nud
c) cost a fortune

Is this even possible? Help!

I know you're not boasting but I am ! stylish suit? Separate top and bottom with a top under the jacket that can be hoisted up to express?

You know, I hadn't considered a suit but maybe that is the way forward. I could buy a size bigger at the top and my normal size bottom. Maybe trousers even? I was thinking summery dress but TBH, this is Wales we're talking about.

Chipmonkey if it's the extra bustage you're envious of, I have a few lbs to spare if you can send me your address to post..

Shoppingbags, fill yer boots (as my stepdad would say)

Chipmonley you are right, I have been looking at this trouser suit but I'm not sure about the lacy bit or what to wear under it.

This dress would be a good shape for me but the colour would be a killer (I am blonde and pale)

Any other suggestions?

Isn't this the same dress in lime? Would that colour be any better?

for weddings i have always found sari's to be the perfect outfit. i am asian so there is that, but i dont ever wear sari's otherwise, so there is also that!
the blouse is easy to open, and the mateiral in front can hide or help show off norks depending on how you want. they are open and breezy so not too hot. and they always look stunning.
it's difficutlt to go wrong with a sari,

oh, and you can still wear it again even wehen norks are normal coz the blouse isusually easily fixed, and perfect for when pregnant, as the tummy is the uncovered bit.

do non-Asian folks not look a bit, well, ermmmmmmmmmmmm, silly in sari's ?

Think I would be a bit pale and pasty for a sari myself!

Have a look at this 'collection' in Principles.
Would the kingfisher shift dress or the jacquard dress be any good on your shape (they are both similar to the next one), or maybe the kingfisher shrug jacket, over the tailored trousers or one of the skirts? Separates does seem the way to go....

Chipmonkey yes that would be better but unfortunately they don't do a petite one, and Next size 6s are smaller in the petite range than in the normal range and the normal ones don't fit me But I have a Next account and might order it anyway just to see.

Gladbag I'd forgotten about Principles..the same goes for their sizing so some of the range is out of bounds for me. They do the dress in my size...I might order that too. It's just so much harder to shop when you're not your usual shape - things that I know would have suited me really well before are out of bounds and it's very annoying.

Cyclonbabe I have always wanted to try a sari, despite my extreme pastiness, but believe me when I tell you that this is the conservative wedding of the year and It Would Not Be Done. Not that I care, but the bride is a good friend of mine and I couldn't do anything that would upset her parents even if they are annoying middle england bores. But we do have quite a few Asian friends and I will certainly consider wearing one to the next wedding. I'm lucky where we live there are loads of Asian shops.

Cheers all

good luck with whatever you decide nine.
ndp, sari's, like all other clothes, look good if you wear colours that suit you etc. bright reds and greens i agree would not look good on someone who wasnt very tanned. but its like all clothes, there are lots of elegant ones out there, in amongst the icky auntiji ones,
