There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

Saw this lovely skirt at Zara today. More rust coloured than orange, too bad that colour doesn't suit me

This is so not my colour but IRL it has some lovely green flecks in it and would look great on the right person.

Fabric content (as always at Zara) is a bit heavy on the manmade fibers though.

I tried on this jacket as I loved it but unfortunately I'm too much of a shortarse and it completely dwarfed me.

This is Majé. I'm normally not into slogan tees/sweaters but this one looked really cute.

I saw this dress IRL today and it looked amazing. Looks quite simple in the picture but on the hanger it was lovely.

Pure fantasy shopping though....

I bought this linen tee for myself today. Hope it washed well ...

Wow Linus what a way to open a thread. Pics, links, it's got it all. Love the skirt colour but I doubt I can do that style (although I sometimes wonder if I could with a grey tee?). Fab Majé sweatshirt - which reminds me I am in desperate need of a new one this season. Cute tee too - my experience of linen from Zara wasn't great - go gently with it.

Love the rust coloured skirt linus the shape would work very well for but not the colour. I have lots of skirts in that kind of shape, they work for me because they show off my waist but hide just how big my hips are! i have a definite hourglass shape but it's very exaggerated there's nothing subtle about it. Still browsing the outnet for inspiration for spending my budgeted spends for A/W. Want to be careful how it's spent so that I get just the right things. I don't want to waste money just because I have it

Very impressive round up linus,

Love that Valentino scarf, and will add it to my AW wish list,

I did a mini AW shopping spree while I was on hols, I panicked that iwon't be able to shop here, small sizes are almost sold out in everything I like, and its either really high end (prada, chanel etc) or high street ,very little in between , and ordering and returning through websites is really tiring,I now feel your pain linus, btw was it really££ ordering through chinti and Parker website to your place?
I have no idea how to link on phone ,now they changed everything again, will link once dcs are in bed later,

Just tried this dress on the results were hideous. I cannot wear this shape at all. So with that in mind I need some help ladies. I have about £150 to spend. I need one dress. It needs to be fitted at the waist - the one thing I'm learning is that I should show off my shape (thanks Novice). It needs to be just above the knee (not too short) and suitable for a September wedding. I can do big florals and sharp prints but nothing too girly. A bit of rucking at the waist is probably a bonus. Can I wear a solid colour dress to a wedding?
Size 12 - I have about £130 to spend. I don't want to buy accessories but I have khaki heels, gold heels, black heels and dark nude heels.
Anyone seen anything fab recently?

ah, that's a shame about the dress shop i quite liked the look of it myself but after a second look, I can see it wouldn't work for me either

Not for the wedding shop but I saw this and thought of you!

Are you going to the day and evening? Agree that if you don't want to buy accessories then the dress should be fab and not plain.

Oh no shop! How dissapointing about the dress.

one they also do that skirt in two other colours, one of which is a gorgeous green zara skirt. Didn't see those colours IRL though.

santa the picture of that scarf doesn't really do it justice. Might pin the grey one myself. Wink

Btw, I saw all those things in your old neck of the woods, Lausanne. I have only been there a couple of times as I find it a very confusing city with a strange layout, but it was fun to go shopping somewhere different.

oh, I do like the skirt in the green linus i'm not sure where my nearest zara store is so I think I'll wait until I go to visit Dp to have a look, I've not bought much in zara before and have generally found the sizing to be small so would definitely need to try on

in cab on way out for drinks. Wearing new Baukjen jumpsuit, zebra print Gucci heels, black Zara blazer, statement necklace and baby Balenciaga bag. Feels good. Am trying to ignore raging hangover from last night.

Will catch up over weekend - have a few purchases to report, ahem. Hope you're all well!
