It's a bit lively for me, but then it might not be in reality.
What would you wear on on top?

If you're not sure about it, why would you buy it??

PeterParkerSays · 21/08/2014 09:54

Not for me. I don't like the horizontal bands of blue flowers.

Report
Catsmamma · 21/08/2014 09:58

nasty....it needs to be the stripe OR the flower pattern imo

and the top as well! YIKES!

Mary Says : ”This skirt matches the stripe and floral V-neck top. If you want to make a co-ordinating fashion statement, a two-fold mix of stripes and flowers against black is what makes this outfit rock. The skirt looks fab worn with black tights (if you need to) and pink and cobalt accessories will make the outfit pop.”

adding pink would be enough to give the whole office a migraine I'd say.

I like it but it says it is £100 polyester and doesn't mention being lined. Could either be a bit thin and or else thick and crimplene. I'd like to see it before I'd even contemplate ordering it.

Hmmm it's a no from me.

namechanger, I'm not sure, that's whyI asked for opinions in S&B

Agree it's a no. I'm looking for a skirt with black in it that has a touch of colour too, search will go on.

I don't like it.

The skirt isn't to my taste, but if you like it then buy it! I would suggest wearing grey stockings/tights and a plain either grey top (with a blue scarf) or blue top (with a grey jacket). I think with a skirt such as this with a busy patten that the rest of the clothing really needs to be understated and quite plain.

Very busy. It's a no from me.

It says leopard print in the description Confused

I think it looks too summery to match with black opaques for the office. The model appears to be wearing nude tights, I think those would be preferable. Though I'm not keen on the print

I think it's really hideous. Looks poor quality too.

I personally like to see a bit of colour in the office. Although I don't work in one myself I had cause to visit one yesterday. Everyone work black, so depressing. What is wrong with wearing something cheery?

Report
OnlyLovers · 21/08/2014 15:02

I agree there's nothing wrong with colour and cheery clothes, but that just looks cheap and nasty.

Namechangeragain2014 · 21/08/2014 18:13

So OP if we all said we loved it you would have bought it??

You either like it or you don't, you're going to be wearing it! A bunch of anons on the internet shouldn't influence you

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 21/08/2014 18:25

Try M&S or Oasis for nice, cotton pencil skirts. I've got a couple of lovely printed ones from both and they are much cheaper than the one in the OP too.

Honestly - is the whole point of S+B to ask people's opinion on things???? Can't understand why your getting such a reaction from some posters OP.

Anyway to your question. Personally I don't like the pattern. However I recently tried on some Mary portas skirts just because I was out browsing ~(and they were well reduced) and actually some things that looked bit iffy on the hanger were cut really well and were very flattering. It might look completely different on you with a plain top. Try it out and see.

Asking for opinions on where to get things or whether you prefer (a) rather than (b) or asking whether an item is vfm etc are all sensible questions but asking if all us 'invisibles' on the internet on whether we like something or not is pointless - we have no idea of the OP style, figure, office she works in etc so we give an opinion if we like - which if the OP liked it or not, shouldn't make any difference to her decision.

If you like it buy it, if you don't then don't but don't moan when people give their personal opinion Smile
