Silver roots growing out blorange ends .... A solution!

I have a certain amount of grey hair (currently about 5 inches but growing) and pale brassy "blorange" ends that have been stripped of dye but not back to my natural dark brown colour. This evening I dyed my hair with pravana silver hair dye and the blorange has gone .... It's now a much improved cool ashy pale brown and looks good next to my roots. Rather alarmingly the dye itself is dark indigo but my white hair is still white, not lilac! Worth trying if you are growing out grey.
