Mascara?

Anyone found the holy grail of mascaras? I don't like Benefit 'They're Real' before anyone mentions it. I was intrigued by blinc but some reviews said it really clumps your lashes together.

Any ideas?

I spent years looking for the best mascara ever, I tried all of the high end ones, but kept going back to Max Factor Masterpiece Max and so I have now given up as I've found it to be much better than all of the rest. I liked Chanel Sublime, but I found that it was amazing for a couple of weeks and then would become less amazing.

I've just bought the L'Oreal butterfly wings one and I'm really impressed. My lashes are incredibly long after 2 coats.

It's not particularly volumising though.

Benefits They're Real is a blighter to get off Hmm

I like Bad Gal (but not Bad Gal Plum it gives me an unattractive purple under-eye look)
Mally Volumising

Tried Soap & Glory but the brush is huge and cumbersome.

I've found that Boots No.7 and Maxfactor mascaras are generally good for not smudging. And I find this one is good as a budget one for separating/not smudging: www.boots.com/en/SEVENTEEN-Dolld-Up-Mascara_1303111/

I like Yves saint Laurent faux cils. It doesn't clump lashes together and definitely increases volume. Also, I got a sample of Estée Lauder sumptuous extreme a few months back and found that good too.

Clarins wonder perfect is surprisingly good

Boots Fanomenal lashes.

Doesn't smudge, doesn't flake, it separates, it adds volume, it flicks, the wand is easy to use and not too fat... I always, always go back.

Givenchy noir couture 4 in 1 mascara is the only mascara that does not irritate my irrationally sensitive eyes. It is very expensive but I buy the trial size from Sephora so it is a bit easier on the pocket.

I rotate between Smashbox and the Maybelline pink & green one.

I do quite like the Benefit one but only for an evening.

I have been converted to Rimmel rockin curves mascara after trying loads , expensive brands over the years . The brush has a great curved shape and I can really build up volume and length if I keep applying a few coats .

Avon Infinitize (orange tube). It makes length, volume AND curls them so I don't need to bother. I loves it!! Thanks

My current top 3 are the Mally volumising one, Tarte's Lights camera lashes, and Urban Decay Cannonball for my waterproof choice.

Blinc is my favourite. You can build up with the lash primer.

I got a sample of a Make Up For Ever mascara from Sephora and it was also really good but I like the fact that Blinc washes off.

I'm no expert but after seeing another thread on here I bought maxfactor 2000 calorie mascara and I really like it.
Doesn't make my eyelids feel too heavy.

Has anyone tried the new Dior mascara?
I'm put off buying expensive mascaras now since finding cheaper ones that are just as good if not better and also because I'm a bit skint
I'd spend more on a really good foundation but mascara needs replacing too often for me to afford/justify it.

Maybelline one by one. In a red tube with green writing is brilliant. No clumping and really colonising and lengthening. And cheap!!Grin

OooOooTheMonkey · 21/08/2014 21:13

Volumising! Not colonising. Hmm

I used to use slightly more expensive brands (usually Chanel or Estee Lauder), but after trying a fibre mascara, recommended on here, have been converted.

I have a mascara from the US that is amazing! It's a fibre lash extension called 3d fibre lash and the effect is like falsies but they just wash off at the end of the day.

That sounds like the one I use, Lifelove! Brilliant it is.
