What do you do to your eyebrows?

I pluck mine, I have to take about 8 or 9 hairs out on the browbone on the right and just 3 on the left. I am debating switching to wax - would it give a different effect? How easy is it to do? Tweezers only take a minute so I don't want a faff...

Nothing except comb them a bit and maybe add a little liner to unify the shape a bit. I have never plucked them in my life. If i have a stray hair in the middle i bleach it when i do my tash.

Get them waxed at a salon first, don't try it yourself.

Overall effect is that your brows are a better shape and a 'cleaner' look. Waxing gets rid of all the shorter, lighter hairs that you can't see so well, but still detract from the overall look and shape of the brow.

Depending on your colouring, try a tint as well, this really gives definition and adds a frame to your eyes, can take years off your appearance if done correctly (subtlely)

I tint them myself every 6-8 weeks or so. I used to get pay someone to do it for me, but it's easy enough for me to do and it's loads cheaper. And I used to come out feeling like my brows were way too dark.
I shape them, either by threading or plucking stray hairs with a pair of tweezers.

If I haven't tinted them (and I do forget), they are completely invisible, so I'll use Mac Mystery (a brown eyeshadow) on an angled brush and brush them with a spoolie brush so the colour looks natural.

I get them threaded, results are great and last for ages. Also do not trust myself to pluck own eyebrows due to the fact that it makes me sneeze.

I 've got dark eyebrows so don't need to tint. I've seen friends' eyebrows from.salon waxing and they look awful - like they've used a stencil, not at all natural. I'm worried if I go to a beautician they won't understand I want to keep the shape just get rid of a handful of persistant strays?

I get mine threaded and also shade them in slightly with dark brown eyeshadow. Nothing like a "Scouse brow" as I think it's called, but just because I have very dark hair and thin hairs on my eyebrows, so they tend to look an odd colour in comparison.

Happy threading is great for that. IMO waxing does tend to have that stencilled appearance whereas threading follows the natural shape of your eyebrows, just tidying them up. Unless you tell them otherwise, they'll just do that.

I get salon waxing and frequent compliments on mine. I have very dark thick ones though so getting them done makes me look finished, in a way. I get middle and underneath done every 4-5 weeks, top done when necessary for the fine strays (usually every other time).

I'm not a fan of salon waxing. I get mine plucked, tinted and (crucially) trimmed every 6 weeks or so. They start looking a bit ropy after 4 weeks, so then I use the fab Superdrug Sleek eyebrow kit, which had a wax to tame them and a powder to colour them - it's fab and so cheap.

I have had had brows, waxing and threading done in the past but have never been that happy with the result.

However I stumbled across an Iranian beauticians a few weeks back and had them threaded/plucked in there for £3 and am delighted with the result. The lady who did them spent at least 20 minutes on them, combing them in different directions and got a brilliant shape. If you are anywhere near west London pm me and I will give you the address.

Threaded every two to three weeks; dye them using moustache dye. Tinting them has transformed my look, I have to say.

Thanks, sorry, I live abroad so can´t take you up on the Iranian beautician.

I went to a different threading place on Friday and they said the same thing - better off plucking as there are too few hairs to bother with threading. I guess my tweezer-free dream is officially over.
