They've discontinued Dermalogica treatment foundation

Apparently, the replacement turns you orange, so will have to switch brands.

Can anybody recommend a lightweight foundation that's mid price, doesn't cake or look patchy?

I have oily/combination skin and don't like to look 'made up' as I can't wear eye make up etc.

I've tried the BB creams and they're no good.

I can afford about £20-25 for something.

I've tried some cheapos like Max Factor and they're rubbish.

Mac face and body is a great lightweight and natural looking foundation

I have oily, dehydrated skin and I really like Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, Mac Face & Body foundation, Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser and Diorskin Nude. I also really like Estee Lauder DayWear BB cream, but it is very sheer and there are only 2 shades.

Diorskin Nude has the most coverage (just around medium coverage) and might be a bit too much if you're not wearing other makeup, but the other ones are fine without any other makeup IMO.
You should be able to get samples of them, except for the Mac foundation as Mac don't give out samples.

I'm not sure of the prices of them.

Can I get these in Boots, or do I need to go to a department store?

Estee Lauder and Dior are sold in Boots as far as I'm aware. Mac and Laura Mercier are only sold in some department stores.

You could also try Bourjois - their products are pretty good and it's not that expensive. I think Boots also sell the brand. The Healthy Mix Foundation is good.

I had the exact same problem with dermalogica tinted moisturiser about a year ago. ( Called Sheer Tint Moisture). The new product was awful, thick and orange. I went round lots of salons in my area who are dermalogica agents and managed to get hold of some old stock. And more recently I have found some on amazon. Funnily enough glancing into a salon in passing the other day, I couldn't see the new product...I wonder whether enough people complained and they brought back the original. HTH

I'm a dermalogica therapist and the salon I work at still has quite a few foundations. Pm me if you want any details as the owner does occasionally list on ebay.

Hope this isn't breaking rules. I'm not sure. Don't think it is as no different to showing something from next. But please tell if it is and I'll get it removed.

Thanks, I need shade 2 though and that was the most popular, so nobody has any left. There's lots of 4 and 5s on ebay.

Why would they discontinue something that was so popular. People are complaining all over the 'net.

That's the only one we've run out of! Got 2g if that helps if you've caught the sun and skin is a little tanned.

Hi SBeane. I've got 1 tester size 2g. It's 22ml. New never used. I did put a tiny pin size blob on my hand to check it's ok and all seems fine.

So is this a tiny tube or is it one of the samples inside a plastic bubble that Dermalogica put out? If it's a tiny tube, I'd be very interested.

It's a tube. Decent size. A normal tube is 40ml.
