Anyone tried new George Northwood salon in London?

This was mentioned in some recent posts and I wondered if anyone had actually been there and, if so, what they thought. Also who they had for cut and colour.

I've been for a consultation but just can't decide if the high cost will be justified. My hair is short and highlighted, if it makes a difference.

TIA.

Thanks to the poster who has responded to this question - positively on another thread of mine, mainly about Gina Conway salons.

I think George Northwood definitely has a 'look', he does Alexa Chungs choppy hairstyles, he also cuts WITs hair and I'd take a guess that he also did The Frugality's recent bob, it has that look about it. He tends to do choppy, wavy, beachy hair. That said there is a video on YouTube of him doing a fabulous short style, have a look for it.

Can you tell I'd love to have my hair cut by him?! Unfortunately I'm not in the UK, but have considered a special trip Grin

BTW, if you do decide to go for it WIT has a code for, I think, 20% off

Yes, I did see that thanks and am going to use it as have booked .

I'm not as young and lovely as Alexa et al but do like soft, choppy 'undone' looks, so looking forward to it.

Just reporting back. Went a couple of weeks ago and had cut with him, colour with Sally, using discount. Must say I am delighted with it. Subtly changed (I had short hair already) but much better.

My DH keeps saying how good it is and even one of my friends who is stylish herself but rarely gives out compliments admired it.

Now need to take out a mortgage / do some prioritising so I can keep on going there without the discount.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering how you got on. Glad it lived up to your expectations, I'm sure you can find a way to keep going back Grin

Yes, just how much do your family really need to eat? And what's wrong with bread and water and wearing 3 jumpers instead of central heating?

[cancels Ocado order, stops EDF direct debit and calls salon and makes appointment].

I'm joking, by the way. Well, sort of. Grin
