Sorry to sound a less than positive note but this product left me with a bad colour build-up problem in my fringe (black patch developed following repeated touch-ups along hair line). Maybe I just didn't apply carefully enough?

I used to use that as my grey roots come through in 3 weeks and I only go to the hairdresser once a month for colour/trim. Then I bought this and I find it fantastic! it keeps me going between appointments but doesn't cause the colour build up that bewleysisters mentioned, my hair is quite long and that was making the colour very patchy.

Thanks OP

I'll have a look but I'm not confident in my ability to choose the right colour!

Charles Worthington do a spray root concealer, I use Dark blonde, for golden blonde hair, what a godsend. Was 1/3rd off at Boots at £6.66..

I do find dry shampoo helps. I have the batiste one in dark brown

On average, how often should you get your roots done? I tend to go eight weeks. So bloody expensive!

I use the nice and easy one and it is brill. So much quicker than normal hair dye - I'm not sure I want to know what's in it to make is so fast acting Smile. There are fewer shades to choose from than the standard range but I use medium brown and it's very forgiving. It allows me to stretch out the time between my salon root jobs so saves a fortune.

When in need (ie desperate) I use a brown mascara. Combed through it works pretty well, if temporarily, and certainly no build up.
