Quick question, best remover of nasty rough skin on heels under £10

I've seen the Scholl pedi-remover-roll-on thingy in Tesco but it was £39.99, I know my heels are minging but I cant afford that

Put lots of whatever cream on your feet and then wrap them in cling film. Then file them. Repeat. :)

Soap and glory foot file
Use on dry skin, soak feet then scrub with whatever cheap exfoliant. Apply cream (aldi did a urea cream which is fab), socks and wake up with baby soft feet

buy a foot file, coat your feet in vaseline then put socks on (when you go to bed) - works wonders

Another vote for a chiropody sponge. I got one called Newtons Chiropody sponge and it's the most effective thing I've ever used. Cost 2.35. I follow up with boots own label equivalent of flexitol. This combination has given me the best summer feet ever.

Use this to exfoliate your feet. After doing this you will never need to buy any fancy gadget, over priced special socks if you simply moisturise your feet at bedtime.

Every night I apply moisturiser, you can use any kind but I find Vaseline is excellent, great doe your toe nails as well. Every now and then moisturise and wear a pair of cotton ankle socks at bedtime.

After a bath or shower, go over your feet with the towel, rubbing to exfoliate dead skin cells. The pumice can be used every now and then if necessary. Letting the underneath of your feet air dry will not exfoliate the skin.

A simple regime of keeping your feet moisturised will keep them smooth.

Another vote for Newtons chiropody sponge. My local chemist stocks it and it's the best.

I have a pedicure when I can afford it every so often and maintain my feet with this.
Used daily in the shower,it smooths the feet like sandpaper. A rub with thick cream/flexitol/vasaline, thick socks on ,and babysoft feet when you wake.

Best couple of pounds you will spend.

I think the scholl pedi is a fancy, expensive, gadget form of the Newtons chiropody sponge.

Just a lot more expensive.

Save your money and buy this. It's available from amazon as well, read the reviews.

Chiropody sponge or search Amazon for the Microplane colossal foot rasp. It's like a grater. Same idea as a pedegg but really really good.

You won't regret it, and won't have spent a fortune if you don't like it either.

I have used it for years and would have hooves, claws,kids screaming in the streets bad feet if not for regular use.

I've just rubbed some banana on a sore cracked heel and it feels smoother and less sore already. Worth a try? I usually use the Boots cracked heel balm - it's the cheaper one in the unattractive tube that works best. It's very slimy and smells a bit yuk...but it's better than any more expensive creams I've tried. I'm about to pee in a tub and apply urine to my heel too. Uric acid is the active ingredient in heel treatments.

Apparently rubbing lemon on your feet for a while before you file them will increase the effectiveness. Will also get rid of the orange colour.

I would: soak for ages in water; dry and rub with lemon; ten minutes later attack with one of these terrifying devices above; cover in any thick cream or vaseline you have lying about; socks on; into bed. Every other night for a while and you'll see a huge improvement.
