Stupid question on hair serums and sprays....

Hi all,

I am going to apologise in advance for my stupid question... But I have no idea what's the difference between hair serum and heat protection spray

Do I need both ? I usually wash my hair at night, apply serum to my wet hair and then let it dry naturally. Then in the morning just my BBH to style it (well I try...)
Should I using a separate heat protection serum or spray just before styling ?? The serum I use at night is supposed to be heat protection as well...

you should use heat protection spray before you apply heat like straighteners or a hair dryer so I doubt using it at night is going to be any good. I'm no expert however.. I use serum afterwards to smooth hair

Does your serum have heat protection? Apply it to your damp hair and it will protect from heat until next wash. Spraying heat protection on before using irons will make hair slightly damp and that means damage!!
