Help me please if you can. I'm wearing the same sandals day in, day out and my feet have become aggressive towards them. Where do I go for really comfy sandals that I can walk all day in, but crucially, don't make me look like an old woman?

I'm 41 and I used to love merrils but i don't think I can get away with them these days....opinions, please?? TIA.

I'm looking at www.schuh.co.uk/womens-black-swedish-hasbeens-debutant/1777027020/

www.schuh.co.uk/womens-red-red-or-dead-tumble-weed/1770333020/

this is what I would have gone for last year but I'm having an attack of dowdy and frumpy. I'm only wee, you see.

Or I might just grab a pair of havanas. Anyone?

I really like the Swedish hasbeens, but they aren't really comfortable over a whole day as the sole is so hard and rigid. I find a more squashy sandal is better for day long comfort! I am wearing these at the moment www.schuh.co.uk/womens-white-clarks-originals-linnet-flat/1745531020/ and they are amazingly comfortable. The flower print on the sole is much less vivid in reality. I have black ones too, but they are sold out everywhere now.

Mollymoofer · 24/07/2014 12:56

I love the clarks shoe but the reviews put me off as I have quite a wide foot. Otherwise it would have been perfect.

Hmm, also like the flowery sole sandals, thank you both.

I need to order something - my feet are rejecting their present shoes!

these are fab office I brought some cheap £10 version from Tesco and upgraded to these, they are really comfy and because they have the back strap they are comfortable for walking long distances.

I quite like the merril ones you linked to but can see that they verge on the side of frumpy.

Mollymoofer · 24/07/2014 17:37

ooh they're really nice and not the sort of thing I'd usually go for. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, if I were tall and elegant or maybe even 5 years younger I'd get away with those merrils. But it all feels a bit different on this side of forty! Grin

Nothing wrong with those Merrells. If they are for walking any distance go for comfort much better than wandering round with plasters stuck to your feet. You could try the Timberland earth keeper range, Ecco or Geox (some can look frumpy, pick style carefully) or even Fly ones. I have a wedge pair that are so comfy for walking in.

tethersend · 24/07/2014 18:22

These are lovely and very comfortable.

ChippyMinton · 24/07/2014 19:04

Just ordered these from camper, fingers and toes crossed they are comfy.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 24/07/2014 20:47

I like the camper ones. I should hope they are comfortable.

I did the style no no and brought two pairs of fitflops in costco today. They are sooooo comfy though.

daftbesom · 25/07/2014 00:58

I have a previous version of these and omg I love them. Walking all day in the heat on holiday, pavements, cobbles, steps, the lot. Soooo comfy. They are not trendy but they look fine on ...!

Mollymoofer · 25/07/2014 01:43

Thanks everyone, I went for the esska ones in the end. Hope they do the job! Still feel like I might need some flip flops though. Must try to remember this weather won't last!

Shedding do you know what the sizing is like in the Torpatoffeln Black Peep Toe Clog's please, they are lovely. I wear a 5 or 6 depending on the retailer?

Buttercup27 · 25/07/2014 07:26

Crocs! They do loads of really nice sandals (not just clogs) and they are so comfy.
