Delighted I'm losing weight and I feel better than I have in months; I also seem to have a whole new wardrobe because I can wear my dresses again. However, I'm not going to the toilet despite taking two Fybogels a day and drinking no less than 2 litres of water. What could I try? I've been doing this by the way www.jaduncan.com/2006/04/how-i-lost-stone-in-week.html

Im hoping this is a temp diet? Youre prob not eating enough to pass it. Try coffee. And get off this diet as soon as you've lost the weight!

Hi Walnut8. Yes, it's a very severe diet, certainly short term only. I did it to the letter the first week and lost 4 Kg. The second week (where I am right now) I have reduced the amount of fruit and substituted it with vegetables and increased the amount of food in general, so I'm probably having between 1000 and 1200 calories a day. I do drink quite a lot of black coffee in the mornings. I only have another 4 Kg to go!!

jeez.

how do you propose to maintain this? yo-yoing weight is terrible for health.

I know, I only intend to so it for another 2 weeks. I know it's not good but after trying and failing to do it the healthy way pretty much every week for the past 2 years, i've resorted to drastic measures. Being slim encourages me to stay slim whilst being fat depresses me and makes me eat. And now please stop telling me off and tell me how to go to the loo Wink

Does seem really extreme but not hard, the dry toast and grapefruit juice would be killers for me as i cant do either Smile.

Ive been doing celebrity slim though, in 3 weeks have lost half a stone. its effectively low carbing whcih works on its own but i prefer the shakes to eating eggs and horrible stuff! Ive been having the same trouble so was advised to add a spoon ful of linseed into a shake, could you do that with the grapefruit juice, or i think you can now buy linseed tablets too? I get mine fromt he aldi large bag which lasts around 4-5 weeks is only £1.69!

I just add 1 spoonfull every day as thats all you need.

You may need to do it for a day or 2 before you see a difference but good luck to you too Smile
