I am 43 and never been to TopShop, what am I missing?

Well, I have walked through TopShop to get from Meadowhall car park into the rest of the shopping centre. But it scares me. Too bright and fashiony and cool and young.

Am I being silly?

You're missing nothing, and no, you're not being silly. Shop where you want to.

I'm 29 and I haven't bought anything from Topshop for a long time. It was be all and end all in the late 90's/early 00's in my city. Once I realised certain fashions were coming in that I'd already seen, I decided not to participate Grin - boob tube/crop tops, I mean you!

I don't think people should have to dress their age unless they want/feel that way, but every attempt I've made to shop in Topshop (I had a voucher a year or so ago) was met with a "I'll just get some socks then" Hmm

I find River Island as bad. New Look is even starting to get too trendy for me Grin

I'm 44 and still get v occasional things there - skinnies are reasonable, some t-shirts, some of the jewellery, socks.

I get the odd thing there too, but a lot of their dresses and skirts are disappointingly SHORT. Yy I know I know I'm getting old...

I got dragged in by my 12 yo DD

Shorts (denim) that looked like a pair of my cast offs (and when I cast jeans off they have more holes than denim) that Edward Scissorhands had been at.
£35,

Erm, no

I always thought it was a kids/teenagers shop? Why would any sane grown up ship there? Confused

Disclaimer: I may not be very fashionable.

'Going out' tops and summer dresses. And footwear.

I stopped shopping there at 17, I used to love it but it's over priced and just not for me!

Nothing - I am 26 and have bought the sun total of 2 tops and a pair of SCHOOL trousers in there. That's it.

I think toppers still good for Jeans and sometimes coats/jackets. Agree the dresses seem too short/high waisted now.

Yes I like their boots. Some shoes and sandals too. I think it's a bit expensive for what it is. And they never put the length of dresses and skirts on the website. Grr.

It was great years ago, but I find some clothes in there just strange tbh.
The vest tops are quite good.

Not much. Even as a teenager I didn't think it was ALL that

I like the occasional thing. Some nice prints on tunics i have bought but mostly online. I have recently bought a pair of tapered jersey trousers with a nice print. Some of the things are quite nice..worth a browse online. I stay away from really fashionable things though.

No, isn't it for teenagers, I was always a 'Chelsea Girl' girl when I was young. i don't recall there were many Topshops in the 70's not like now.

Your missing paying £10 more than you would in Dotty P's or New Look without the quality of Oasis.

Honestly Top shop serves no purpose at all, although DD1 also has some jeans she likes from there, they were £35 and I'm certain she could have got similar for less.

Oh yes their winter coats are good, they do a good duffle and their parkas are good. And leather and denim.

Jewelry
Scarves
Jumpers (sometimes)
Midi length, double layered tube skirts - not as good as in Whistles but then they're half the price.
You just have to be selective, like in any shop.
I'm eleventy-nine.
