Mint Velvet

When I'm in my local city I often walk past a Mint Velvet concession and think their stuff looks quite nice but expensive. I've been looking at their web-site and can't decide if it all looks a bit shapeless - I like quite fitted clothes. Has anyone shopped there? What did you think?

I think it's crap tbh.
It's expensive but they use awful fabrics and the cut is often poor. Rarely lined and a tendency towards odd embellishment

I sometimes go in and have a look but I have never bought anything. It is expensive and nothing ever catches my eye enough to make me want to buy it. I prefer more fitted clothes too.

Some of it does look quite nice but all things considered, I think it's a lot of money to pay for grey viscose.

It always looks so much better on line, I'm always disappointed with the quality in store.
I think the leather does look and feel good, I'm currently coveting this

Varies widely. I've had a succession of stripey jersey tops from them which have served me brilliantly, and last winter had a couple of pairs of plain dark trousers which were a good mix of smart-casual. Also got a cashmere dress in the sale which was excellent value as beautifully lined and cut.

But some wool stuff hasn't lasted very well - either gone bobbly, loose weaves pulling apart etc.

I tend to avoid the embellished stuff, veers towards Per Una at times!

I've only ever bought their leggings (which were great, but pricey at £15 a go) but I tried on the whole dept in John Lewis.

I like the look of most of the stuff on the website but realistically, it's too dear for me and all of it looked naff.

It can all be a bit grey (although grey tends to be my go to colour anyway) and a bit dear for what it is but they do good sales and I've picked up a few bargains that way.

I like it, it suits my colour pallet, and it's great for weekend wear. I've got a few tops, but never bought trousers or dresses.

I've had a couple of things from there and been very pleased with them - a knitted dress last winter and a thin floaty blouse this year. I also have a suede cross-body bag which I love. I suppose it depends on your style really, but I haven't any complaints about quality or finish.

I have this www.mintvelvet.co.uk/black-woven-front-cardigan/mint-v/fcp-product/3095 and love it (although hate the way they've styled it in their pics). It was £££ for what it is but it was a gift!

Does anyone have this leather skirt from there? Or have seen it in the flesh?

Bum40 linked it the other day and I really love it. How is their sizing generally? I'm abroad so would have to get MIL to send it over, and couldn't do a return if it's not that great.

I love their jeans/jeggings. I've also had a couple of good jackets (boyfriend and leather biker) and blouse tops from there. And my go-to dress for every occasion is a Mint Velvet one. The only bobbins thing I've bought from there was a handbag - the strap broke the first time I used it.

I have a bit of a love / hate relationship with mint velvet. I like their jeans as they work well with my shape and always seem to fit well - however the fabric isn't great quality and often they don't last very long which is very disappointing considering how much they cost. I've had a few pairs from there now where the material has gone threadbare / baggy or at worst totally given.

I've had quite a few things from there since they opened a branch 15 minutes from my house, including two lovely leather jackets in the sales. However I am getting very tired of the polyester and although I love grey a few brighter accents would be welcome. For the prices I would expect more natural fabrics.

Everything is greige - dullsville.

I think they are okay ish but over priced. Most of the tops are shapeless- the floaty ones. Dresses are 'drippy hippy 'or bodycon with not much in between imo.

I've had a few pieces from there and think the quality is average. Not worth full price but ok in the sale

They do seem overly keen on grey. I have a pair of boyfriend jeans from there that I like and a jumper but rarely does anything catch my eye.
