I got a lovely pair of linen ones in Monsoon last week. They're go with everything blue, quite wide in the leg, very soft and just gorgeous. They have a tie belt, turn ups and I know I'll wear them for years. Tried to link but unsuccessful - Millie chambray shorts, also in white.

I am really into long shorts atm. I have a pair of knee shorts by next, whitestuff jegging shorts/crop [so comfy] and i absolutely love my white stuff helter skelter shorts. So flattering.

What do you think of the fit on the Helter Skelter shorts greengarden? The reviews are a bit mixed. I love the length of these. I am an apple shaped 16 so bigger on the tummy than the hips/bottom. Should I size up?

Banana Republic, Gap (boyfriend fit ), J Crew.

Kahori, i love them. They are not especially generous around the waist though. They are stretchy but if you have a mummy tummy [which i do] it can be a bit tighter. Saying that they do feel baggier with wearing. The length is very flattering and i would buy another pair if only they did another colour. I think i would size up. You could always try both sizes and see how you get on. Also on the White stuff website they have jegging ones..like leggins but denim. They are great. The only thing is, like leggings, a long top is a must but they look good too. I also love the length of those and they are supercomfy.

Here is the link for the jegging shorts:

They are like leggings in the sense they are a neat fit and that put me off but in all honesty with a long top they are great and i have worn and worn them.

I wore some to work today and got loads of comments. They are (old) banana republic. Nice flat front. Not too long or short. Plain but a bit like this style m.bananarepublic.gap.eu/product.html?dn=bp000950772JA95-08896&dv=0&shopid=1&pdn=bc66910

Size down one

Gap khaki shorts are great - I have them in bright pink, pale pink and beige/cream.

Well they are inbetween leggings and jeans hence jeggings? They arent quite as revealing as leggings, thats true.

GAp and br do good shorts

Greengardenpixie · 22/07/2014 19:16

...and im not sure revealing bum or waist or tummy would look good on me personally. Maybe if you are super slim they would look great anyway!

ChickenFajitaAndNachos · 22/07/2014 19:16

Clippity I got those too. They were a bit more than I would normally spend but mega comf, not tight and go with lots of things as almost denim in colour.

OP, I was coming on to post the same question! I'm a 10-12 with a mum tum, and I think hope passable legs. I spotted these
Gap roll ups although I don't understand the sizing Confused
Gap scalloped edge
BR Roll ups

I'm open to a public vote on which to get!

You're on the wrong gap site for UK

Report
FruitBasedDrinkForALady · 23/07/2014 00:40

Thanks Gretchen, but I'm not in the UK, so have to order from the EU site. It's just the first pair that have odd sizing, possibly inch waist? The other two I was looking at are standard UK sizes. I've never bought from the Gap before, so was hoping someone might have an idea about them.
