Couple of sales picks from me. These are a bit nanna, but in a good way. £34 patent leather blue flats www.jonesbootmaker.com/ladies/flat-shoes/jones-bootmaker-accessories-flat-shoes-formal-slip-on-2610243829. Only in size 6 or smaller (ie not my big feet)

This is quite conservative, but v elegant and is £77.50, now. True to size. www.tmlewin.co.uk/Florence-Jacket/50412,en_GB,pd.html?start=5&cgid=Womens-Tailoring-Jackets

If they don't fit, I'm happy to pass them on to anyone who might like them. I'm a 5/38

Not exactly conservative, but is hopefully almost to the knee on me and is perfect for casual work places or dress down Friday, I think. I've ordered it in regular length, in black in size 0. THANKME gets you an extra 20% off www.jcrew.com/AST/Navigation/Sale/AllProducts/PRD~A3246/A3246.jsp?N=229+17&Nbrd=J&Nloc=en_GB&Nrpp=48&Npge=1&Nsrt=3&isSaleItem=false&color_name=bright%20jade&isFromSale=true&isNewSearch=true&hash=row7

I wish my feet were that small - would be much easier and look better for my frame.

pinkpear - hope you don't mind, but have asked MN to change the thread title bit from "allworkedout" to "theworkwearedit"

I've been following these threads even if i haven't contributed.
Can we please have Belinda start them next time? So much easier to find her posts :)

Last one from me before I "knuckle down"

pinkpear - wouldn't something like this be perfect w the Coast heels for your DH's birthday? www.theoutnet.com/en-GB/product/REDValentino/Bow-embellished-stretch-crepe-dress/470718

The Valentino coat is divine.

I am off workwear and onto holiday wardrobe planning this week.

Oh I wish I'd remembered TM Lewin last night rather than having to drop silly money on an interview suit at my very reliable but very expensive ladies' outfitters!

Sorry will leave the new thread to Belinda next time Wink

That dress is gorgeous but going to be good and wear the b+w FC dress I bought a few weeks ago, hopefully with the coast heels and my glittery Anya H clutch that I have been too scared to take out.

Operation Nice Legs has already started!

Floppity - is it too late to return the expensive jacket and order the TM Lewin one? The one thing I find - you can (fairly easily) save time or money on your wardrobe - very hard to save both.

I don't 'get' the J Crew thing. It all looks pretty ordinary for mega-bucks. I do like the little ra-ra-esque skirt though.

Report
BelindaAllWorkedOut · 01/07/2014 20:44

Ah, Remus, I loved a little ra ra skirt action when they first came around, so I thought I'd give it a whirl again. The skirt looks a bit more low key than some of the bigger peplum hem ones I've seen. Plus, you know me, it's cotton.

Re J Crew, it has become quite a popular look, hasn't it!? I like the J Crew things I have seen, and have found that some of them look to be v good quality, coupled with sensible / desirable cuts. It's like the cooler big sister of Banana Republic (which I also find to be v good quality). The problem for me is the pricing. I have to wait for the sales before even considering any of it. Bored you all to tears?

pinkpear - black dress, those Coast heels and the Anya Valorie clutch - perfect party wear.

I think I missed a whole thread by going on a trip for work. And I changed my name too - from LaTrucha. I also went to some actual real life shops and bough casual wear mainly but also this silk blouse for work and I love it. It's really thick crisp silk. I want to but one of those puffy steam things they hae in shops to keep it crisp I love it so much. Got the white; tempted by the beige but didn't see it in store so can't judge the colour for my skin tone.

Jcrew have some lovely stuff, I covet their cashmere but it is pricey. I've got two pencil skirts from there which are nice. Sales reductions seem much better in store than on line.

I am also in holiday wear mode Lurking beach long weekend. And 40th mode for mine the following weekend. I have a dress I can wear but may still have a brief look for something else next week. Am considering the Coast shoes but potential dress is red and I don't think nudec would work.

Margarita I ordered that blouse! In beige and white and in both 10 and 12. So I could try all combos. So happy to hear it's lovely, they're on it's way to me now.

I'm following thread but rarely posting because it moves so quickly!

Thanks Belinda for advice on prev thread re zara trews but I decided to return in the end. Went a bit nuts in John Lewis sale (lots of hobbs ) nearly all of which went back too.

Does anyone know when Clarks might next have a discount promo?

Report
Brillenbar · 01/07/2014 22:31

Belinda how do you get the jcrew sales discount codes? They never send me nuffin
