Great bargain! I love charity shops. Where I live there is a lot of White Stuff and Boden clothes. I do love to get great quality items at a bargain price.

Where I live I usually only buy books because they are full of cast-off Primark gear (which I can afford to but brand new!). It was my first venture into central London for a rummage and I think I may be hooked!

Yes, we have a lot of primark stuff too. The staff don't seem to understand just how cheap Primark is, so their prices need to be lower. It is annoying sometimes as I see thigs I like but I refuse to buy second hand unless it is good quality.

I've also picked up, for the same price on different days, a lovely black linen wrap dress, a purple chiffon Oasis top, a miniture Versace yellow diamonds perfume, a Phase 8 floral dress, a Pringle jumper in pinks, whites and greys, a horse print dress, a Boden skirt, Joules chinos, a Laura Ashley cotton cardigan and a pair of black strappy heels new with tags. other bargains have included leather lined black velvet Superga hi-tops for £5.99 new with tags Grin i love a good charity shop rummage

All ex Primark and New Look round here too.

You'd have to go in every day for a month to find something decent methinks.

All rubbish here. There are 4 in local shopping precinct but full of expensive second hand primark and George. Even checked out the ones in Henley and Windsor and left empty handed.

My sister sometimes gets the odd Boden bargain and maybe monsoon but nothing else. The shops in Henley had display cases for the designer stuff and still charging hundreds for handbags/shoes etc.

Shop I'm near the city centre Sad Wetherby is on my list of places to visit though! Apparently the ones in Ilkley are good too.

I find the town centre "chain" style shops expensive for what they sell, and same as above posters -primark tops priced at £2.99.
However we have a great local Salvation Army shop which is great for little gems ,I got a black leather 1980s Jane Shilton clutch bag in mint condition for £1.20
I'm always popping in for a look - not S&b but got lots of casserole dishes / earthenware too for 75p a piece .

I go to charity shops in posh areas now and then and usually pick up something decent. Got a Joseph coat for £12, a Jaeger jacket for 9.99 and Jigsaw dress for a fiver in the last year.

MaxMara alpaca camel coat for £30, brand new Mint Velvet trousers for £10, Lelli Kelly patent knee boots for DD for £3.50, job lot of Sylvanian families for £8. I LOVE the charity shops where I live. There is a lot of dross, but some real finds also.

felix the ones on Otley Rd through Headingley are pretty good. Agree that the city centre ones are not up to much.

Southern end of of Fulham Road and New Kings Road used to be absolutely brill when I lived in London.
My friend got a beautiful new oyster coloured silk Temperley gown for £50 which she wore as a wedding dress.
The Fara shop childrens charity shop was full of gorgeous clothes and toys for little ones.

I love charity shops too. out here in the 'shires they're hit & miss as to what they have. I am always really amazed when I See items like Jaeger or Issa on offer; who donates such items when they are still in good condition?

forgot to say what I have found when in London. I used to work in South Kensington, so I'd pop over to the kings road or Gloucester road shops:

red leather bag £5,
various high brand tops ~£5-10

Out in the 'shires I've been lucky enough to get some Jaeger clothes, maxx items, Zara clothes & bags for about £10.
