yesterday i went to jo malone and instead of buying the nectarine blossom and honey that i had last time i decided to try a different one . i bought the lime , basil and mandarin . It seemed nice at the time but now i just dont like it . I have put some of the body lotion on and spritzed the cologne on top and now i just want to wash it off .
All that money and i cant stomach it Sad

I feel the same about this one - nauseating, couldn't sleep when wearing it!

Do not understand it's popularity at all

All is not lost though, you could take it back or ebay it

I took mine back for an exchange, just said I hated it Grin - I guess they would just use it as a tester

Oh I love the lime, basil and mandarin one, sorry!

Can you give them a call, explain you are a regular and have made a poor choice, I am sure they can use them as samples. It's worth a try.

Sorry! That should have read - ah, that does sound like the problem. It goes husky spicy on me - sexy, but in a subtle, grown up, not trying too hard way.

yes it smells a bit spicy and much better on the cardboard tester

You should do well on eBay; I sold a bottle of pomegranate noir which I had used a tiny bit of and got a really good price. Just make sure you can prove its authenticity; I had quite a few people questioning me about whether it was real. There are lots of fakes around.

I've done exactly the same as you. I bought it when I was in Paris as a treat for myself. I liked the tester but it absolutely stinks on me and even makes my throat sore. Sad

I made the same mistake. I love the smell on other people but on my skin it smells like loo cleaner!

I would try the store first before eBay.

I think it smells like unwashed/dirty hair when I've worn it. Vile. Must be a body chemistry/reaction thing as so many rave about it.

YY to smelling like loo cleaner.

I love earl grey and cucumber, blackberry and bay and wild bluebell atm.

Before you sell it can I suggest you use a lot less of it on application. I've had perfumes before that I've bought then regretted when home, burny find it's the top note that tends to be harsh. Once that wears off the low notes are often beautiful.

My advice would be the less is more approach, apply on wrists then touch wrists to either side of neck. If you wear a neck scarf smell that the morning after and see if you like the smell, I think clothes sometimes give you the real scent if the perfume.

I agree with the previous posters, tell the shop. I think they'll swap them, their customer service is really good & v generous.
