I have a bra question that I haven't seen done before.....

So, my boobs were never very big and after having kids they were pathetic empty little sacks.

I've got implants now!!!

So, what's the best way to fit a bra to them? Do I still follow the same measuring system? There's nothing to 'scoop' with implants. It's all filled out now.

If it makes any difference, they are teeny tiny implants. Just enough to take me back to what I had before children. They look incredibly natural. There's no weird roundness to them, and nobody has noticed that I've had then done.

The basic method is the same (although you might not have much difference between leaning and standing measured) however, from what I understand it's not unusual to have to go up in the band with implants. The reason for this is that implants are generally more on the front than natural breast tissue, so you sometimes have to go up a band size so that the edge of the wire can be slightly further forward on the body.

However, start with your basic bra intervention size and work from there. Some brands have narrower wires than others (cleo/panache/ewa michalak/kris line) so might be more likely to work for you

Ah right, okay. I might not be too far off with what I'm wearing then.

I measure 29" for the band, and I'm wearing a 32".

They are definitely a bit more 'on front' than real boobs. Before I had them done, I was desperately scooping from the sides just to try and fill a B/C cup. There's nothing to scoop now. It's all filled out and pushed forward, if you see what I mean?

The 32DD I am wearing now fits pretty well, I think. The centre panel at the front lifts a tiny tiny bit away from my chest, but the rest of the cup seems to fit very well. D'you think I should have gone up to an E because of this? 32E is quite hard to find on the high street :-/

I would try going up a cup as the gore lifting is a classic sign its too small in the cup. Might as well look after them!

above a DD your best bet is going online, or looking in department stores. John Lewis, Debenhams etc carry loads of bras in those sizes. You'll still have a really good selection you just need to try different shops - look at brastop, bravissimo, leia lingerie, mycurvesandme
