Good shopping Santa nice to have you back smile I hope all is well.

One good for you reporting him. Hope you are ok - scary experience ((hugs))

Which bag are you bringing to the MU novice?? I vote for the suede PS1 - we'll be gentle with it and no wine spills - promise smile i've probably jinxed it now

I'll set up the new thread...

santamarianovella Thu 06-Feb-14 23:45:42

Good evening all,I've been trying to catch up!but I forgot how fast our thread moves!

novice big hugs,I know someone going through the same thing ATM ,and its so difficult,I pray things go well for your dsis, and that she does not need further treatments.

anni I alter my jeans too,the length, and sometimes around the waist.

dry Im like you, I don't think I would like the idea of being told what to wear, and be restricted color/cut/ style wise,I've been around many "stylists" and I find them to be completely clueless when it comes to styling.,and just paste and copy other looks. I think if you are someone who is into fashion and love clothes, you can figure out what sort of style suits you,

decam gorgeous bags,dh never understood handbags too,but I managed to change his mind, wink.

shop I'm not that into trainers, but I really like the olive ones

one I hope you are ok,it's very scary, and I would have reported it to the police too.

Its very interesting, reading all your posts on AR thread,I never shopped with them before, and Dont think I will,it Made me realise the importance of sticking with more established online retailers who actually have good CS.

We are going to see wolf of Wall Street tomorrow evening, finally managed to get tickets, can't wait!

And my dear friend bought me the R&B jeans among other things blush, I ended up buying a second pair of jeans by C&E and this gorgeous jacket that I've been lusting after for awhile, tried them on in selfridges, and the 0 was good on me,baggy but in a nice way,I ended up saving nearly £300for the jeans and jacket! shock

I'm ok thanks blair just had enough today. I don't mind helping anyone who is in genuine need but this guy was, as called by the policewomen, a professional beggar. if he'd just asked once and then gone away when I said no, I would have left it alone but he just wouldn't leave me alone and I just refuse to bend and be a doormat for anyone anymore. it's no wonder that people who are desperate and genuinely need help get ignored if people are always being harassed by these professional beggars

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping Thu 06-Feb-14 23:10:30

Oh one that sounds scary, hope you aren't too shaken. It's horrible when things like that happen. Recently a few of us had a woman chase us up the road to my sister's flat, we couldn't leave until the police came and they also said she was "known" (she was on something). very scary so I hope you are OK. The policemen sound very nice though!

Wow this thread is nearly full!

novice, big hugs xxx

Oh novice , I'm so sorry you've had bad news. I hope your Dsis is getting the best of care thanks for you both.

Well, I just got back from giving a statement to the transport police. I was minding my own business in the train station and, not even kidding, I was asked for, sworn at and generally harassed by a guy wanting money, FOUR TIMES in the space of 25 minutes. I reported him because he was really scaring me and I felt so vulnerable and intimidated. I had a drs appointment so went to the station after that as it was round the corner to give a statement and got a ride home in their van, they even put the blue lights on for me to light the path to the gates into our flats when they dropped me off. They said the guy who was hassling me is known to them and they are hoping they will be able to get a conviction and penalty this time as they said most people just give in, give him money and then never make an official complaint. i am taking a zero tolerance stance on being bullied and generally treated like crap these days!

A whole heap of them to you all xx

Anni are you mad? Do you really try jeans on with pins inside the legs you nutter? I'd tack them....don't fancy stabbing my inner thigh!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping Thu 06-Feb-14 22:30:52

novice I'm sorry to hear about your dsis flowers Hoping for better news next week.

<swoon> at the bags. They are all very different, so all useful no doubt wink

I just knew Marsha's link would be the cherries, saw that yesterday and thought WTF. The unicorn one is awesome! Maybe not for £300 though...

Annianni Thu 06-Feb-14 22:28:10

NOVICE shock

Bravo! grin

Right... I need sleep... Well, try to before dh comes to bed.

noviceoftheday Thu 06-Feb-14 22:23:45

Anni, so I kept the Proenza Schouler PS13 which I totally loved, the red Pashli which I feel guilty for keeping as I liked rather than loved and the PS1 suede tote which I loved but am scared of. Dh was temporarily doing his nut because put down deposits for 3 holidays plus flights and credit card bill was huge --five figures--shock. I was thinking of returning the red Pashli to ease some guilt but then he seemed to get less cross when the house sold and paid the bill without another word!

Dry, oh good!wink

Annianni Thu 06-Feb-14 22:19:41

<squee>
It's ages since I've been to Leeds!

Put the jeans on inside out, then pin the outside leg seam... Carefully turn them back the right way round... And slowly try them on.

If they look better, get the machine out... If not, just remove the pins.

If you can grab a handful of fabric (at the knee) when you wear them normally, then they're too big.

Don't worry Novice you know I'm a dress woman at heart smile
Anni name your date. Taking them in is a good idea...if a bit scary.

Annianni Thu 06-Feb-14 22:04:20

I've been meaning to ask you Novice...
Which bags did you keep?
Did the Pashlis go back?

Annianni Thu 06-Feb-14 22:02:45

So sorry Novice, fingers crossed for your dsis xx

Dry I can do Leeds jeans shopping grin

My Hudson Gia are baggy on the knee but fit everywhere else, and I'm going to take them in a bit.
You can sew can't you Dry?
Take your 7's in a bit.

noviceoftheday Thu 06-Feb-14 22:01:29

1 year I have been on this thread and still jeans don't excite me!! I do love my j crew ones though.

Yes I'm wondering about that too Shop ..... Looking at the pic of my 7FAM jeans the knees do look a bit baggy too.....ridiculous bum/thigh complex I know I know . A MNV jeans shopping day would be awesome, can you imagine smile perhaps in March .

noviceoftheday Thu 06-Feb-14 21:50:41

Thank you thanks I am fine, but more worried by dsis and dm as neither (especially dm) are handling it well.

Have just lit candles, got music going and now have to plough through a 40 page report to prepare to make apparently "insightful" comments to the media next week. I need fashion chat to distract me!

LinusDKD Thu 06-Feb-14 21:41:44

I am so sorry novice! (((Hugs)))

shopafrolic Thu 06-Feb-14 21:33:31

Shit, busted marsha I was remembering my days at pasha
novice big hugs for you. I am so sorry, that's lousy. I hope she turns a corner next week.
sleep flowers for you. We've had date night at home, lots of discussion, lots of decisions. First of which is that we stay put in this house for now. All good. Thank you. Xxxxxx
Dry we need to go shopping together for trousers / jeans once you've got your Gucci - I reckon we'll get you down at least two sizes.

libertychick Thu 06-Feb-14 21:31:44

Oh Novice so sorry to hear that. flowers

MarshaBrady Thu 06-Feb-14 21:27:29
