Showering is a chore!

I really enjoyed the bath thread - care to share your showering methods? Grin

Mostly I splash and dash as I hate showering at the best of times.

Shampoo and condition hair, wash the important bits,Blush rinse conditioner and go.

Biweekly I'll have a general defuzz.

I'm a slattern aren't I?

Do you enjoy doing scrubs and slathering on lotions afterwards?

I resolve to spend more time showering in 2014 if you can convince me it's not the tedious chore I think it is!

I'm on military timing in the mornings (although it's a relaxed military timing as I enjoy it!)

Jump in shower, turn round and round getting myself wet, sing while shampooing, rinse, slap conditioner on,wash body, rinse conditioner then jump out very quickly and run over to my microfibre towel to plop my curls. Then dry off, cover myself in palmers.

Then quickly run downstairs in a towel, make a cup of tea and put my face on while drinking it Grin

I need to regenerate my love for the shower. Pre DC I loved it, had a huge morning ritual etc. Now mornings are so early I've either got loads of time so leave everything too late or occasionally wake up at a sensible time but feel hugely rushed.

I need to get my shower mojo back.

I'm a shower girl, hate having baths! Nothing beats a good warm shower with good water pressure, its heavenly. I take a quick one after the gym,and a more relaxed one in the evening,
I use a daily scrub, and shower gel,and then use body oil or lotion, ive been using loccitane almond milk cream and oil with a body brush, and my skin is looking very good, very supple and soft.

Its not a chore,it takes maximum 15min for me,and you feel 10 times better after showering, and once you get into a routine ,it becomes very easy to stick to.

It's a chore most of the time because of time pressures. But at the weekend I adore my showers. My favourite shower ritual is to cover myself in l'occitane almond shower oil, then scoop up a handful of granulated sugar (from a lidded tub I keep in the shower) and scrub the shit out of myself from head to toe. Beautifully smooth, soft skin afterwards, and then pile on the body cream. I feel like a new woman afterwards. Showers are only boring when they have to be fast.

Santamaria-I'm intrigued-I've just googled the oil and the reviews are great, how do you use it with a body brush?

Oh, I hate showers as well. There's always a bit of you that's not under hot water so getting cold. Have to stand up as well = not conducive to being relaxing.

DH has been doing up the bathroom for 2 and a half fucking years and we've not had a shower in all that time.

Mornings are too hectic so i have to bath on a night. I hate, hate, hate it because

  1. I have bra strap length hair and washing it in the bath is hideous. 2. I then have to sit in the bath with any hair that falls out. 3. It takes ages to have a bath and wastes my evenings. 4. Shaving is minging because then i have to sit in the bath with shavey bits so i have a muff like chewbacca

The list is endless! I may wake DH to kill him.

I love having showers. Find it harder to get out than get in.

I love showers. So looking forward to our new one. bob I feel your pain (although ours has been out of action for only 6 weeks).

I had shower routine down in 15 minutes. It went something like this in mornings. Shower on, clean teeth while it warms up, hop in wet hair turn around wet body. Shampoo. Rinse. Conditioner. Shave legs. Scrub (soap n glory) shower gel and loofah to buff it off. Rinse conditioner. Warm fluffy towel. Cleanse & tone face. Moisturise face. Palmers up body.

Some mornings I don't wash fair so it's even quicker.

tired I apply it all over my body first,in circular motion, then start brushing vigorously, concentrating on thighs, and hips, the burning sensation from the brushing helps with cellulite, but I don't brush everyday about three times a week. i can't recommend it enough,it leaves the skin very smooth.
