Whether it's a work party, Christmas drinks, NYE thing - what's your lovely festive outfit of choice?

Need some inspiration...

Oxblood leather skinnies I bought in Vegas, and either a mad Christmas sweater, or a glittery top,

One of the two dresses on my profile I would imagine... Or I have a red one a similar shape to the navy one... but what the picture doesn't show you in the navy one is my massive gut that over hangs :( my arms and my bust/rib area is thinner now than in the picture, but my dirty great stomach jsut sticks out like I'm pregnant.

Oooh just remembered I've acquired a pair of glitzy irregular choice shoe boots, so I'll be wearing those! They're in black and gold, so prolly a plain black dress, with a gold stole.

I have a pair of silvery cigarette trousers from Next which I shall probably wear with a black Monsoon top, kitten heels and a sparkly necklace.

I hate dressing up for evening dos, I never seem to have the right things to wear.

It's not a very dressy affair.

I wore this to our Xmas party, was at a posh hotel so wanted to look classy - it is a really lovely dress for the price but I stupidly didn't try it on and could barely breathe all night as it came up so small!

Have ended up with a choice of a gold, glittery Anglomania, a Tiffany blue/green DVF or a cheapy cobalt ASOS number. Will make decision on the day.

Lunch - floral play suit with black tights and tan brogues.
Dinner and drinking - navy and black lace tulip dress. Not sure about shoes... Might be my ankle boots?

Xmas day - jeans and a Woolie jumper... We dont do dressing up.

This dress which Cremolafoam pointed me at last week. It arrived yesterday and it is fab-u-lous. The little gold studs are festive without being in any way OTT.

Sounds amazing Pinupgirl. I love VoH dresses whenever I see them linked to on here. Must be brave and try one out one day.

Ooh great outfits here. Loving the green dresses - there's not enough green! Tempted by the Topshop number to wear with thick tights and ankle boots.

Have ordered half of Asos today though so will see how we get on there first...

Anglomania shift dress and extra-strength Spanx or Damsel In A Dress silk paisley thing.

But the temptation to sprint to Holloway in a lunchbreak is quite strong. Would any of their dresses work for a short pearshape size 10/12, small of waist, square of shoulder, small of nork?

Taffeta skirt from topshop in deep red
Vest from h&m

Fabulous black animal tights
Super shoes

How long is the green dress nilby? Most of these dresses (including the fabulous Almost Famous one, which I swooned over) reveal too much leg, but given that the model in the Top Shop picture is 6 inches taller than me, I thought it might be a possibility.

Hi evil-I think the vivien halterneck pencil dresses would be a good fit for your figure. They have some boning in them so shape the bust but go in at the waist so are very flattering. You can buy matching boleros too if you don't like to show your upper arms.

If you have a look at their fb page they have lots of photos of customers wearing her dresses so you might get some inspiration.

Those are all lovely!

I havw a black aline type shift dress from M&S Autograph thats a few years old though I've only worn it twice. Its black with chiffon sleeves and dark beading around the neckline and cuffs. I wear it with nude micro fishnests and high leopard print shoes. I'm skint so can't really buy anything.

But I do have a £20 Dorothy Perkibns voucher and now I'm tempted to go and look for that dress...
