Can anyone suggest some ballet pumps that are actually comfortable to wear? [smile]

I can't get on with the really cheap, low fronted ones from New Look perhaps because of my short stubby toes but I'd really like some flats that are comfy enough to wear whilst running around. Any suggestions? I like these but they are a bit ££

Clarks have some lovely ballet flats, perfect for my wide buniony feet. I have some leopard print ones which are very comfy.

Uggs flats, though they aren't cheap. But they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had.

French Sole Sloop. Blissfully comfy. They are like slippers though, so treat them gently. Great for the office or running errands but don't try to walk great distances in them.

I got some lovely ones from Hobbs (navy suede). They are seriously like slippers!
They still have them in most sizes (see reviews)

They also have most sizes in the leather pair (same, just leather instead of suede)

Bloch are fab. The outnet often has them - they are so comfortable. They are the only ballet flats that I wear now. Nothing else is worth the trouble

A second vote for Bloch. Expensive but they last really well too so cost per wear is not high.

A second vote for Hush Puppies. Soft leather, nice arch support, tough sole. My pair are on their third year and I wear them daily for work.

I've got these in navy. I can't wear completely flat ones as they have no support but these are lovely and squidgy and very comfortable.

This was me last Spring. In then end I bought 2 pairs of the stretchy ones (the ones that bend up when not being worn), and they're perfect. I was finding I was having to do toe claw to keep other ballets on.

I've got one pair from Jones, but they're very, very flat with little support, so I like them, but wouldn't wear them if planning on doing much walking. I also have 2 pairs now of the Abbey ballets from Banana Republic (second pair bought in the sale), and they're great - cushioned sole, stay on my feet, comfy.

Thanks Carrie there is hope for me then, can't bear doing toe claw all day, exhausting.

Hobbs are v comfortable and come in half sizes which might help if you're getting claw toe trying to keep them on.
