I never go in there but you lot are always banging on about it. I'm so fed up looking for a wedding outfit for the evening only when it's going to be bloody freezing

Do you mean lush the cosmetics place?

Or do you want help finding an outfit for the wedding? If so, what size/budget/colouring?

I'm so depressed I'm going to lush but I don't know what's good to buy

Wedding wise it's a night do on a farm size 14 at this point I don't care about the budget although I went to AllSaints and boaked at the prices

As in.... in a field?...in a barn?....will everyone be wearing wellies ?.... is there any sort of heating ?

Lush? I don't understand what you're asking. Do you want outfit ideas or ideas on which smelly bath bomb to buy?

Do you mean hush ?

Get a bath melt. Floating Island or Ceridwyn's Cauldron for pref. Plus some Ocean Salt for a face scrub is lovely. Enjoy smile

I am assuming you are sick of outfit shopping and looking for a smelly pickmeup OP! grin

Can't help with Lush, as I don't like it. I'd buy a big bottle of Badedas gel in Boots. smile

Outfit - will have a look.

Butterbomb bath ballistic if you have dry skin. Bliss. DO NOT buy a glittery bath bomb unless you want to be still fishing sparkly bits out your fanjo by the time you are going to the wedding.

As for dresses, Oasis have some beautiful stuff at the moment.

I also don't like Lush, and would also go for Badedas gel - gorgeous stuff.

Dress with a faux fur and bright red wellies?

Forget lush, find an off licence wink

Lighthousekeeping Fri 20-Sep-13 18:02:05

Bloody hell how expensive is lush!!!

Lighthousekeeping Fri 20-Sep-13 21:32:29

Well, £35 later and I stink to high heaven. The face scrub is amazing!

Has anyone got any ideas for the wedding outfit?

Went to a similar do recently. Everyone wore normal weddingy things, but with Wellies and brollies. Not sure I can give outfit tips as mine was based around bf requirements. Dress was People
Tree Edith worn with a trench coat - attempting the librarian chic type thing.

100+ people in a marquee soon warm up, especially if there is food and dancing, so it wasn't cold. And the rain stopped smile

Shopping for winter weddings can be a nightmare! Basically you need enough layers to be warm outside, that can be taken off when it gets hot inside.

Without knowing your specific style, I would probably suggest:
- dress with long sleeves (so you can layer underneath with some thermal!)
- Faux fur/stole/pashmina to keep the hands warm if need be
- some stylish wellies- TK Maxx is handy for good discounted wellies. I recently saw some wellies with a heel when doing a personal styling sess for festival season- surprisingly comfortable and will make you stand out from the crowd
-smart Mac/Coat.

Good luck!

A winter wedding would be my preference to shop for - you can start with comfy boots and the dress can be something you might actually wear again. A longish woollen dress? Or a suit?

About 2 years ago I went to a winter wedding in Italy when it was about -5 outside.

I wore black thermal tights from primark
thermal camisole from uniqlo underneath my dress
another tight black tee shirt on top (you probably won't need quite so many layers in england)
teal shift dress with 3 quarter sleeves from dorothy perkins
black wedges (but other ladies had on smart boots)

+ black cardi and winter coat when I was outside.

I was toasty warm smile

Can't help with lush I'm afraid, I get hayfever attacks just by stepping inside!

red dress with black boots, a furry gilet and hat and striking lipstick matching the dress and black or red velvet gloves if you like too grin

I've one of these too. Got a lovely purple anglomania dress (just below knee with long sleeves) I've lovely hobbs boots and wellies from tk maxx if needed. Just need a warm wool coat.
