Looking for an eyelid primer

Eyeshadow crease on me. I'm looking for a budget one but will try an expensive one if it works.

I've never found one that works. I've tried loads of cheapies, then I splashed out on Benefit Lemon Aid and even that didn't work. So I'll be watching this thread with interest.

I just use my regular mineral powder foundation - buff a bit on my eyelids before I put on my eyeshadow, and it creates the perfect base. You don't really need a specific product.

I am using a test pot of the Clinique one and it seems to work. Maybe pop in and ask them for a tester?

Elf do one which rivals the urban decay. It has a wand applicator. Very good and affordable.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - costs about £20 but I use it every day and it's lasted me over a year. Give it a good 5 minutes to dry before you add your eyeshadow, then you should be crease-free all day

I really rate benefit's' stay don't stray' you only need a teeny tiny weeny bit and my bottle has lasted over 18months.

I use Bobbi Brown eye cream stuff in Bone. It's amazing stuff, you can put anything on top of it and it doesn't shift all day.

MUA at Superdrug do a great eye primer for £2.50

Higher up the beauty food chain I really rate the Nars or Urban Decay one.

Urban decay potion primer
Seriously, I wore bright eyeshadow at work on NYE for 16 hours and it looked perfect when I finished

Urban Decay. Without question.

It's amazing.

Definitely Urban Decay - it's brilliant.

Benefit stay don't stray is great. Lasts forever and also a stay put primer for concealer. £20 but when it lasts over a year, good value I think for a product that does what it promises. I have just bought my third one and it's not often I repeat buy make up.

This blog writer has done a comparison of eye primers:

Part 1 Expensive brands
Part 2 Cheaper brands

This is an american blog so you might not be able to buy all the brands in the UK.

It's a good blog, she says 'fuck' a lot and has a very scientific approach.

Never used one so can't recommend, but if you order the Clinique one (it's £12) and use the code AUTUMN you can get a free lipstick, free delivery and a couple of other samples.

Was valid a couple of days ago, don't know if it still is.

Nars. A million times better than urban decay.

Mac one is v good but I was planning to try Nars when the current pot (they last for ages!) finishes as I have heard good things about it.

The Urban Decay one really works.
