I need to get off my ass and drop 10 years from my face

Had a bit of an epiphany this week. I realised that, no, people probably don't look on me fondly as a lithe young mum when I'm out in the park, they do probably just see a knackered 39 year old. With bingos and a csection belly and no dress sense! (Cos I still can't fit into my per preg clothes sigh but that's a work in progress...)

I quit fags two weeks ago, only smoked 6-10 a day so not a massive addiction at all, but after 20 years, anyway, the difference in my skin is amaze balls! So, I'm kind of inspired to sort out the rest of my formerly attractive coupon. I've realised I can look a lot better than this...

I've bought pearl drops to sort out the teeth (coffee
stained and bit faggy)
And I'm getting my eyebrows threaded tomorrow (instant facelift appaza!)
And I've started drinking two litres water a day

I have good hair...it's only ever on my head and I have never had a grey hair...so that's ok. But u can detect very slight jowlage and slightly thinner lips...basically I look wrecked.

So, style gurus.....is there anything else I can do?!

Botox! Seriously it is amazing stuff.
Hydraluron gel twice a day.

Smile, best facelift ever. The difference between women who smile and those who don't is amazing. You look so much younger when you smile as it lifts your whole face. I have started doing face exercises to lift and tone the muscles of my face. Its a daily thing just like exercising your body. Its lifting my slight jowl (I am 52) and plumping up my lips. Im a bit of a natural fan myself. The other thing is to overhaul your diet cause your skin shows what you have been eating. I eat lots of salmon and oily fish, nuts, olive oil on dressings and full fat everything and protein is important too. Oils and protein eaten daily really help to create soft glowing skin that is toned and supported. Low fat diets were the worst thing ever and you can often tell which women have followed low fat diets all their life by their skin when they are in their fifties. Just my observation though.

Massive reality check when you realise that other people don't even remotely see you as you see yourself isn't it? Happened to me recently and have thrown a ton of money into buying 'miracle' cosmetics but not seen any change. Interested to see responses. Tell us more about face excercises Rules - what do you do???

The exercises are on the internet but they do the same thing that exercising the body does. lifts and tones the face muscles. Same as a facelift as when you have one they pull all the muscles tighter under the skin. this way is natural and doesn't look weird Grin

Rules, this is my second revelation this week! I've been reading up about Eva Fraser and I'm going to give it a go! Who do you follow?

I need to stick to cheap or free things as I'm not working and my husband, bless him, thinks I'm perfect and won't let me near Botox....

Do they make a difference? I'm so excited, was considering buying anusol for those special moments :) but it looks like a bit of hard work is the real answer!

Iron mans mum, I've tracked down a few things, all nestling in my amazon basket until I'm ready to go!

Rapid lash serum...apparently help with long luscious lashes
Mother pucker gloss gives bee sting lips!
Pearl drops (abrasive but works)
Red toothpaste apparently defines difference between gums and teeth and makes teeth look whiter still without wrecking enamel

Apparently one is supposed to use cream blusher too....I o key wear makeup when going out, day to day I do nothing so at least that's pronto one thing I do we'll for my skin :)

I'm a big believer in Shea butter....great for skin, and do exfoliate my lips now and again, but that's it.

I do Eva Fraser exercises with this book, haven't been doing it for long but it is very easy and doesn't take very long.

18 months ago I had sagging jowls, dry rough skin and dark Acne pigment scarring. I started using the Obagi Nu Derm System and now my skin is tighter, glowing and mark free and has no prominent lines or wrinkles. I can go out make-up free and I look fresh, no need for the Mac concealer I couldn't live without.

I also have Baby Botox to my forehead and Glabella area which allows me to move my forehead but eradicates any fine surface lines. I also have Fillers to Nasolabial folds. Honestly I look about 7 years younger than when I began my skin transformation.
