Is it just me? Do I have amazingly long finger nails or toe nails that stick up in the air? Why can't I make a pair of 20 denier tights last longer than one wear?

Not just you, I can't even make 40 denier tights last more than a few. Crossing my legs under tables with rough undersides are what usually does for them!

Oh that's rubbish! But it's tights season and my legs look revolting better covered up! M&s are so expensive but everything else ends up like Nora Batty Confused

I bought M&S merino tights last year which were great. They lasted the entire winter with handwashing & didn't bobble.

Wolford tights are very pricey but really good.

Just bought two pairs of Falke cotton touch on rec. from here and they are lovely - and I hate tights.

But I have a hole already. I've repaired it cos they were 20 quid.

I have 40den opaques opaques from John Lewis that are about five years old. Even if they get a small hole somewhere it doesn't seem to grow. Don't know exact packaging/price, sorry, but they are just their own brand opaques.

May be controversial but I buy Accessorize and Pretty Polly nude fishnets by the fistful. I've never really moved on from 2004 in that respect Smile. They give much better grip than normal slippy tights in a shoe, they're surprising weather-adaptable (breeze on the fanjo but somehow trap a bit of warm air around your legs too) and they don't snag as easily.

Is there a Calzedonia in the UK? They do the best I've come across for reasonable price.

These. They are one size only things, but fit me fine and I'm a 12/14 on the bottom. They don't do much holding-in of the tummy though, I wear them on thin days!

Micronets are the way to go for sheer looking tights. I am death of tights but they are brilliant and don't grate on the foot like fishnets can

Autograph at M and S is a good mid priced range; they are fairly robust and a good choice of colours/coverage. Their velvet opaques are fab!

Ooh I don't know what happened there. I don't think they have a pic of the nude ones. Trying again in black.

I feel like a tights virgin! I didn't know you could get fish nets in nude! Now do they make legs look like treetrunks??

I saw a woman in nude fishnets from across the road the other day, except I didn't realise they were tights until I got closer - I thought she had some kind of skin disease!

Full fishnets are v different from micronet though Kezztrel - you can't tell from less than a metre.

IMO very flattering to the leg

These were quite open weave ones she was wearing, so they looked like scales...

Ok, so what's the matter with Asda opaque tights? I've just bought a pair of 80 denier. Waste of money?
