I love my UGGS, so there!

It's my birthday today, I'm 38

We're skint but DH bought me a pair of classic chestnut UGGS which I've not taken off since 7am

Considering selling one of the children so I can buy another pair

I love them. And I think they look good despite the general opinion against UGGS (disclaimer: SAHM, so what I consider to be 'looking good' usually means I've straightened my hair and have a clean top on!)

They always remind me of the boots my granny wore in winter with her knee length skirts and American tan tights........

My first heel skin boots were my grannies, I used to wear them with a fitted sheepskin coat that was my granny's too. And I looked COOL.

Grin Sibling-I'm glad you said that! I'm going to finally take the plunge and buy some with my birthday money! What's the sizing like? Did you size up at all? I normally wear a 7 (but I'm technically almost a 7.5)

I have 2 pairs of UGGs and love them both. I said last night to DH I'm excited for the cold weather so I can wear them Blush

I have the Costco shearling boots and I love mine too. I don't wear them when it's raining/wet so they have lasted.

I gave Uggs a wide berth for years but last year I yielded, bought a pair, tried them on, kept them on, had to be wrestled out of them at bed time cos DH wouldn't sleep with a woman in Uggs.

I now have 4 pairs and I love them. I will have cosy toes all winter and a choice of toe warmers.

I love mine too - I got them from a charity shop for £15 two years ago and they are almost falling to pieces but they are sooooooo comfy.

I love my Uggs more than any other shoes I have. Very large calves despite being a size 8 otherwise, they are the only boots that fit. Warm, comfy, and they go with all my clothes. I got mine in Oz in 2008 and they've done every winter since, still look great.

And no one notices your feet when the DC are shrieking so I don't care what anyone else thinks about me haha!

Does anybody have Ugg kensingtons?? If so, do you like them? Am thinking about buying a children's range pair (much cheaper and only have size 4 feet)....this wet cold weather has made me want something warm, cosy, waterproof and comfy to do the school run/football sidelines/park activities in!

I was a late convertor and only bought a pair when on vacation in Australia.

I live mine. I have classics short ones in chestnut (old, smelly), and also mini Baileys in chestnut (new).

I do have Kensingtons B-SAHM. I like them but they are an absolute nightmare to get on and off. The kids style will be much better as they have a zip. They are not waterproof though, as water gets in around the braided bit between the sole and the leather.

LittleMiss I am lucky enough to live near an Ugg Outlet. I've coveted the detachable sock ones for ages as they are calf length. I phoned up this weekend to se if they had any in yet. They did and said they were £80.

At that point I dispatched dh to fetch them, when they rang them up they came up £55.00

I am very, very, very lucky Grin

I work in an office that is freezing in winter (concrete floors in converted barns) and gave in last winter and brought uggs. I still think that they are fugly but they keep my feet toasty which in turn warms the rest of me up. I go bailey buttons as I have large calves and wasn't sure tall or ones without the gap at the side would fit (im a size 12/14 but run and bike a lot so muscular calves).
I still think they are horrible but am now braving wearing them on the sidelines to watch the boys play rugby and lacrosse and dd playing hockey.
