Was thinking of getting a Cath Kidston lanyard for my ID pass for work, a few a work have them and they are nicer to wear with outfits all the time than the neon awful ones we are issued with.

Anyone know of anywhere else that does nice ones? I don't want a boring, plain black one I'm afraid, even though I can get them for about £1 on ebay. I want something naice Grin

I've made some this week using ribbon, here's my first style.

I might get to the ribbon shop this week to make some other colours, what colours/designs would you go for?? Bit of market research for me!

Mine is on a lovely NHS one with safety snaps all the way round so that it can't be used as a ligature if somebody decides they want to try and strangle me with it. I ain't getting no fancy pants ones.

In the name of market research I'd like something grown up, muted colours that will go with a smart work wardrobe. Something like this but in darker colours (like this fabric) ideally to blend in with black/brown/navy/grey work suits. I don't want anything that looks cutsey or juvenile at all because it just won't look right with smart suits.

This is my keyring

It's not shiny gold as the picture.

I am buying presents at the moment for my son's girlfriend upcoming birthday. She likes Hello Kitty and whilst looking on ebay I saw some Hello Kitty lanyards. I nearly bought one for myself but realised how stupid a late forties women would look with one. :(

I think I'm much less likely to be strangled in my line of work!

Mine is from the Olympics last year when I had to have my staff pass plus a billion other ID passes from LOCOG (where I work was a host site). It's got a repeating Union Jack pattern with "Team GB" at the bottom. Got it from Next IIRC!

Inspired by this thread I popped into CK for a new lanyard yesterday and they've designed them with a safety clip bit to prevent the strangulation risk!

Mine is a CK one. It's lovely and soft, unlike the awful scratchy work-issued ones.

Oh thank you BOF, I tinker and play at things, making a lot of mess, don't make any money from it, but stops me going out shopping though!
