It's 115 days to Christmas Eve!

You can use this thread exactly like you were using the previous thread to keep track of what you're doing, have lists, ask advice etc. As its about renovation rather than strictly beauty, nothing is off limits so beauty, clothes, exercise, healthy eating.

So here we go!

Ooh, a shiny new thread!

Well this morning so far I have been for a run, drunk 2 large glasses of water and eaten fruit and fibre with half a banana on top for breakfast. Oh, and taken a multivitamin.

I am about to have a shower, exfoliate, shave legs, wash and condition hair and moisturise body. Then hot cloth cleanse and moisturise my face.

Today I will be wearing:
Indigo straight leg jeans
Black l/s scoop neck jersey top
Leopard print ballet flats
Small pearl stud earrings

My nails are still neutral on my fingers and very dark red on my toes, although I have had to do a little bit of repair work on my thumbnail after using it to peel stickers off something.

Oh, and I'll be blow drying my hair and wearing a little bit of make up (foundation, eyebrow pencil, mascara, lip tint).

Happy September everyone! Grin

I'm starting today. I've done my list and am sitting here with my hot water and lemon. My main aims are losing 15kg and improving my general grooming. I'm going to use this board to keep me on track. Wishing you all a good start.

Good morning! Just posted on old thread by mistake, asking trucksanddinosaurs about 6 week 6 pack...

Thanks for setting up the new thread! helga

Today I will exercise, do nails, and more sorting of house and bedroom

Eat healthily and make a bit pot of soup to see me through the evenings and save time on cooking. I will also prepare healthy packed lunches for work

I read somewhere that hot water and lemon bad for teeth, has anyone else heard that? I like drinking plain hot water now but preferred it with lemon but I've heard it can strip enamel?

Am drinking hot water and lemon while cooking some paleo apple pancakes for the whole family. Have the tail end of a migraine, so haven't shredded, but will go for a brisk walk later and get some dancing in.

Hello all, checking in!

Just having a cup of green tea and feeding baby. Plans today will be to take kids and dog for a brisk country walk.

Really need to invest in wellies for Autumn!

Just about to hop in the shower for washing hair with L'oreal Eversleek. Will post back how I get on with it. It's one of many steps I plan to take to get my hair back to a shiny, healthy, swishy state! Next investement: coconut oil.

Will do exfoliation, shave, and moisturise.

Well done all of you that have already started, I'm starting tomorrow (have to start new things on a Monday!) but I had my hair cut yesterday and have some clothes in the machine with some navy dye so hopefully that'll work as part of my new colours! I'm set for tomorrow with vitamins and the Shred at the ready...looking forward to it!

Justshabby - I too need dog walking wellies for winter, any recommendations?
Eversleek is good stuff, I definitely notice the difference in my hair when using it. It's 2 for £9 in Boots so I got shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner and the heat protection spray!

had warm water and lemon and a cup of tea will be making sure I'm moisturised, hair straightened, make up on and clothes ironed. Got to get in the mood for exercise tonight.

I will be doing a good walk with the DC today and will nip into boots for some hair bits to remove greys and flyaways.

ILiketoClean I really have no clue what to get. I covet a pair of Hunters but they're too far out of budget for me. Anyone else know of a good but budget-friendly wellie brand to look at?

I bought really cheap ones in the past that rubbed my feet and worn out quite quickly so would like to invest in a better quality pair.

Can't wait to try the Eversleek. They didn't have the deep conditioner in stock when I got the shampoo and conditioner! Will keep a look-out. I toyed with buying the heat defence stuff but it only protects up to 180 degrees and I own GHD's. Saying that, I am on a blowdry/straightening ban while trying to improve my frazzled, over-worked hair.

Morning everyone

No exercise for me today, my toddler was in bed with me last night after a nightmare and he is so wriggly and punchy in his sleep I've woken up with a seriously cricked neck Hmm

DH is taking both boys to soft play so I'll have a hot bath and a gentle face pack then. Probably won't even manage body brushing but might devote my day to lookig at magazines and planning my post postnatal weight loss wardrobe :)

Do you have a recipe for he apple pancakes, yami?

Justshabby - have heard that Hunter wellies aren't great quality these days since their production moved to China. Will keep searching...

Ohhh, good to know! Thanks ILike. I will do a product review on Amazon and see what's what and report back.

cristiane I heard that too about the hot water and lemon but I think if you drink it through a straw then it never hits your teeth and is ok.

I'm on my phone so will post later, but two places to start for paleo/primal eating are Whole 30 and Mark's Daily Apple. Whole 30 is a bit more hardcore and life-changing.

There are often wellies in TK Maxx, but my favourite boots for walking in muddy fields are my Joules muck boots which are reasonably attractive and have a cosy lining. They are quite expensive for what they are, though.

Report
TheYamiOfYawn · 01/09/2013 09:27

On a budget, I would probably go for cheap wellies and a couple if pairs of good welly socks, and maybe sheepskin insoles.

Report
JemimaMuddledUp · 01/09/2013 09:28

I have Joules wellies and they have lasted really well, I must have had them for at least 4 years. I wear them quite a bit as we live in the country and spend a lot of time at the stables.
